Fixed my RSST (the middle screw was loose, causing the pin to not "catch" the bottom plate), and filled it with Brasileiro.

It is DEMENTED I tell ya. If anyone is pondering a House of Liquid group order, yes for sure get the El Toros, but don't forget this one. This is what I am aiming for when I want a coffee tobacco. Plenty of cream and sugar. Huge plumes of vapor.

This might become one of those juices, like HHV Dragon's Fire and TPR Candied Cavendish, that I hoard and get nervous when I'm down to my last 30ml bottle. It's that good.

Thoughts: When you walk into a cigar shop, if they sell Drew Estates' Acid line, you're going to smell them right away. It's a "flavored" cigar but nothing like the cheap gas station ones. A connecticut wrapper cigar with herbs and other flavorings to give it that unique taste, this is a definite love/hate flavor. The cigar tastes exactly like it smells. Want2vape extracts from the actual cigar giving the liquid that perfect taste. Even at 0mg, as I vape this, it's very satisfying. One of the best cigar liquids out there.

Ooh snap! Didn't know this was available! I used to smoke the acid blonds all the time. Love them!

Spegtoast,

I recently wrote a review (for what it's worth) a few pages back in the thread. The liquid has had a name change to 'The Blond' but it's still the same, one and only, Blondie.

I love it, some that post in this thread may hate it but no one has actually come forward and said that. It's hard not to appreciate an authentic NET e-juice like Blondie even if it's not for the palate of some.

If you used to smoke Acid Blond's I reckon you are going to have a treat with this liquid. If you do try it be sure to give us your impressions of it on this thread.

I have started on my second bottle of Patriot. I ordered this bottle about a month after my first bottle (which was about 3 weeks ago). I've noticed more perique coming through in this bottle. I remember writing my impressions on Patriot soon after I got my first bottle and there was a flavour which I couldn't quite pinpoint beyond the cigar and woody base, which I thought blended the liquid as a wonderful and layered whole giving a wonderful cigar experience. I now realize it was the perique that gave it this subtle undertone. That perique is more dominant in my new bottle.

It could also be the microcoil I built on my Igo-L that is enhancing the flavours. Absolutely love Patriot!

Just stopping in to say hi as I was invited by Gthompson. I'm not a vaper or tobacco user but am a tobacco researcher so would be glad to provide any insight into the tobacco plant, the industry, or the science behind the scenes and maybe learn a bit from you all as well. I have just spent the past hour answering questions on the noob board so have to take a break but I promise to pop in later.

Sugars and non-volatile oils are big coil killers for vaping, and I've read that fire-cured and aged air cured tobaccos are the lowest in sugars, and dark-fired tobaccos and cigar leaf do translate very well as extracts. By type, Burley had the least sugar with Orientals and Virginias being much sweeter.

For variety, could you recommend other specific types of tobaccos that would be especially well suited for extraction/vaporization?

Like, is there a type of flue-cured Virginia that would be low in sugar but still have the other typical attributes of flue-cured Virginia? Sugar-free Turkish? Diet Latakia?:) Or do you know of a process to lower sugar in tobacco before extraction, or a way to limit the amount of sugar extracted? Vapor friendly sweetness can always be added later into the mix. How about a way to convert the extracted sugars and non-volatile oils into something more vaporizer friendly without drastically changing the flavor?

Some extraction techniques probably wouldn't even get the sugars, but I'm referring to the most common extraction methods where tobaccos are soaked in a solvent (PG, VG, water, grain alcohol...) and then filtered.

This week is E3, the big videogame trade show. Since game's are my primary business, it's going to be a super-busy and super-fun week. I've chosen Ahlusion's Gold Rising and Peachy Criminal to help me get through the show (and the various post-show parties). Peachy Criminal is probably my favorite new (to me) e-liquid of 2013. Honey Cured is up there too, which brings us to Gold Rising. It probably needs some more steeping, but I'm loving this one after day one. While it's listed as Ahlusion's take on the RY4 formula, I'm not really getting anything close to any classic or custom RY4 I've had. To me, it's Honey Cured's younger sister. They're both beautiful, but Honey Cured is sexy and in-your-face, while Gold Rising is so adorable that you can't help falling for her.

Since Wlad is arguably one of the most in-the-know vaping wizards anywhere, I wonder if Gold Rising might be based not on RY4, but instead on the Ruyan 4 liquid from way back in 2005-2006. As we know, the RY in the original 2007 Janty RY4 was an intentional homage to Ruyan, although I'm pretty sure the flavor profiles of the two juices were significantly different. I never vaped any Ruyan 4, which is now long gone, so I'm just speculating, but that might explain why Gold Rising is described on the Ahlusion ordering page as their take on RY4, when it clearly does not resemble a typical RY4 flavor profile at all.

Whatever it is, I like Gold Rising a lot. If it's the younger, sassy sister to Honey Cured, I may have to order some of that.

Edit: On the USPS front, I recently had a problem with a Priority Mail letter from my family. It was shipped on a Saturday with an estimated arrival date of Monday. Instead, it arrived on Friday. The letter was HNL to LAX, so unless it was floating around the Pacific Ocean for a few days, there's something funky going on with sorting.

OT: A client of mine who lives in Santa Ynez in SoCal emailed me this morning, saying that she had put two payments in the mail on June 1st---one to me in Oregon and one to another person in Cali---and that the other person's envelope still hadn't been delivered after nine days. She wanted to know if I'd gotten mine, which I haven't. Maybe there is/was a snafu in some SoCal mailbag that snagged both your letter and mine.

scarfy,

Your post reminded me how long it's been since I vaped any Dragon's Fire. Almost a year. I thought I still might have a loaded Resurrector of DF in one of the ammo-box carto holders on my desk, and, sure enough, there it was. Screwed it onto a VAMO, took a hit, and it was just like calling up an old, dear friend I hadn't chatted with for awhile---too long, really. Thanks for jogging my memory! Ah, so many great juices where absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder (once I remember to vape them again...).

Are you doing a review of E3? I'm torn between Big Brother XBOX One and PS4. I'm really uncomfortable with the way XBOX One watches everything you do, even how many friends are watching a movie, to report to the MPAA.
I'd also like to hear about Gran Turismo 6 and Forza 5 (I think that's a launch title) as well as GTA V and any new Assassin's Creed.

On an 'on topic' post; Dulce Cubanito is quickly becoming my favorite juice of all time, Maha Ras not withstanding. I put 15ml in a 'soft plastic' bottle for faster aging. Holy ..... This juice is divine! If you haven't ordered any and you like tobacco, do it!

Ammo box carto holders? Gotta pick? I have ~50 mil-surp ammo boxes, mostly full, but some empties.

I bought mine on eBay in a set of five. The back two of the three on my desk hold only RY4s.

I would be interested in tasting year-old DF. I first vaped DF in Aug/Sep. It was different then compared to now. And as far as I can tell, it was from the same batch of extract (though he just switched over and it tastes the same as the previous/first batch). They are close to be sure, but the Aug/Sept version had a slightly more dessert/cakey note to it. It is still sweet, but it is not cakey. I know Adam has mentioned he notices differences in flavor as his extract ages.

Don't Ecblend have an original Ruyan 4?

I reckon i still have a bottle of Janty's Ry4 lying around here somewhere and it's probably off, off, off.

While most of my A+ order was non-aro's and will need to steep.... I did get BGB as the first aro NET that I've tried of their line of NET's....

I may not be man enough to vape aro's... lol

I ended up dialing back my wattage to around 4.5w ( before this, 6w was the lowest setting I've used commonly )... it allowed me to vape it without coughing my head off ( at only 6mg, it's not the TH getting me )... but it really looses the lower notes at this setting. At least the earthy flavor still comes through even if it's not the same. The flavor actually doesn't start to round out until about 6w and is probably more suited for much higher... At the higher wattages, I can't inhale much and really don't get the effect I think it deserves.

As overwhelming as it is for me... the flavor is really nice, full, earthy and dark. I may never get to the point I can vape this much but I can certainly see what all of the rave is about on this one.... I'm going to have to let everone I know that is vaping tobacco flavors get a sample of this one... I know of one other that will probably love it... but I also want to see a few folks that I don't think it will suit and see what they think also...

One word says it all ... WOW

Yes, ECBlend and at least a couple other vendors/sources call their retail RY4s or RY4 flavorings "Ruyan 4," but they're not based on the actual Ruyan 4 liquid from eight years ago. They're just typical RY4s that use something very close to the standard RY4 flavor profile (tobacco/caramel/vanilla) started by Janty and continued by almost everyone else (except for some of the more far-out Custom RY4s that add unusual flavorings).

Even though the two juices---Ruyan 4 and RY4---are not identical (some people say that the original 2005 Ruyan 4 wasn't even similar to Janty's 2007 RY4), the two names are often used interchangeably.

Ah, I thought you meant the .50BMG cans. Are those 9mm? I have over 1k rounds of 9mm. I don't think a box would miss it's tray.

On a vaping note, my GeJ order got here. I got samples of every NET, plus 2 30ml of Patriot and a 30ml of Apple Cured.
I also got an AMP tank from Avid. :D I have The Standard Frankenjuice in it. It's thick juice, so I've opened the juice meter all the way and I've been chain vaping with not a single dry hit nor any leakage. And it's incredibly easy to assemble, fill, use. This will be my driving set up.

I also got Hey Jack from MOV. I'm super excited to try it and kind of regret not putting it in the AMP. Oh well, I'll just get another.

And Mr.Mann was gracious enough to send me another bottle of XPress Sahara (so my 2 60ml can age all nice and right). He also sent..... Apple Wild Wood.

I'm vaping it in a 1.8Ohm bridgeless Cisco 510 @3.6V on a Provari. Even at such low V it's still packs a lot of flavor, mainly something woody. At 4v, same Ohm it's much more sweet. All of the flavors seem to mesh more. I can tell it's a play off of the River Tree Blends, but with Wlad's special touch. If that makes since. The wood may be applewood. Or is that apple cured tobacco with a touch of apple wood smoke? I don't know, but it's really good. I'll be ordering some when it's available.

This thread moves too fast for me to keep up. RAPID FIRE! Coming up on 12,000 posts! Eee gads!

I consult Vapenstein's site as a rule, can't go wrong there. That said, is there somewhere collected an exhaustive list of NET juices and vendors I can access?

Also...what is the deal with Backwoods Brew RY4? is it gone, like, FOREVER?
