Nautilus shorted on smok magneto

My aspire nautilus shorted on me and burned my finger on my magneto button earlier. Any ideas what could cause this? Imr aw 18490 battery. Any suggestions would help, I'm afraid to use it again now that I possibly ruined one of my two batteries. Any thoughts would help, thank you.

Wow, what did it read on your Ohm meter prior to use. And was the reading steady?

The first suspect would be the atomizer head shorted. Replace it, them check it with an ohm meter.

Read 1.6 ohms when I tested it, I think something is happening when I attach it to the magneto, unless it was screwed up then when I reassembled it to check the ohms again I did it the right way and wrong before? I dunno any help would be awesome, been smoking analogs all day bra cause I don't wanna touch it. The thing worked great right outta the box but then started leaking before this incident. I got the package last night and had this big dumb smile on my face like a little kid haha. Now I'm nervous. I bought it because I originally bought a Pyrex rsst when I got the magneto but don't have a drill to widen airflow because it sucks no pun intended. Thanks for the help
