May I get really snarky? Thanks... So when we go back to analogs and get cancer, can we proceed to sue the U.S. government and just forgo the tobacco companies? Oh wait, I forgot, Obozo and all of his assclowns in Congress are just going to give us "free" (LOLLMFAO) health care to help euthanize us in the most "government financially assisted model" possible, right?

ok, ok... I'm done. I have just watched too many people I have known die from this, and the first glimpse of REAL hope and the government ....es all over it.

Where was the presentation of evidence, of facts, of research? just go down to the mall? is that research? was she there shopping? did she see a child buy the product?
Yet cigarettes are not yet banned.....lame

To think that some politician can openly admit to not even knowing what the product is and still pass judgment and vote. Money talks and BS walks...

Not trying to be a downer people, but I live in NY ... it probably the biggest liberal Tax and Spend state in the nation. Nothing will stop this... the libs have control, they rule us, we no longer are represented.

I will make calls tomorrow to the aforementioned numbers .. but this state is out of control and has been for a long time.

I have to say that my letter likely won't be read, let alone listened to. Sarcasm has that effect on more than just everyday people. As to being a resident..... I've been there and bought cigarettes.

My letter,

To my Senator,

I am writing to express my support for the banning of electric cigarettes. Smoking is such a proven health hazard that we cannot allow any new tobacco based product not owned by the big tobacco corporations to gain a foothold. After all, due to the political muscle of companies like RJ Reynolds, we can't ban actual cigarettes. And while we can't save the half a million people who die from smoking related illness annually, we can absolutely halt the electric cigarette in its' tracks.

It makes sense. When we consider the host of other unenforceable laws passed, creating yet another underground market really is worth it. And, by banning e-cigarettes we will be able to divert resources away from the war on drugs. If we can find a couple of other things to ban, we could divert enough funds to address the proven alcohol and tobacco health disasters.

So, please, do it for the continuing profits of big tobacco. Do it so our kids will have a healthier alternative to buy from the local drug dealer. Do it because you can't afford to lose the tax revenue brought in by the current crop of tobacco smokers.

Signed,

A concerned citizen who actually quit a 25+ year pack-and-a-half daily habit in 24hours using the electric cigarette. Yeah I am still a nicotine addict, but I am not sucking in 599 additives that produce over 4000 chemicals when burned.

Have a great day. Like your friends in the House, I am sure you will do the right thing.

MitchellBeans, I respect what you are doing for the cause! And I understand what you're saying about your state (NY). I also don't want to be a discouraging voice but I really do think all of America is going the way of New York.

I think the writing is on the Wall. I believe the majority of our political figures are greedy individuals with little character, and that their votes are being bought every day of the week.

A ban in NY on ecigs would be a shame indeed, but to win this battle....unless someone has enough money to counter the bribes, it's most likely a lost cause.

Dont want to be a wet blanket but I dont belive we have a chance. If you havent seen this you should. Follow the money.

The Mike Malloy Show just ran a very positive and informative two part series on e-cigarettes. It was based on the personal experience of new vapor Bob Alexander from superbeans.com.

You have to click on the link to hear it and not just read the text. Mike and Bob will have you cheering by the end of part two.

Part One: Mike Malloy Part One
Mike Malloy Part One

Part Two: Mike Malloy Part Two
Mike Malloy Part Two

Now if I can just find an E-liquid that tasted as good as Bob's Coffee we would all be in Vaping Heaven!

Happy Vaping!

Where are the suppliers in all this? Why are they not helping in New York? Is anyone able to contact the AAPHP and ask a representative to speak to the Health committee in New York? Were any New York forum members allowed time to speak to the assembly?

We are here and there are others, it would be good if the out of state suppliers would get involved...

It probably is a fight that will never be won until the people who haven't been taken in by the media hype and propaganda take control of this country once again.

I mean, seriously... Guess who's blocking a relatively safe and effective treatment for cancer because it cannot be patented and therefore brings no revenue to our glorious government and their lobbyists? http://www.thedcasite.com/Ds_Lymphoma_remission.html

Oh, you guessed it! Your beautiful FDA hard at work again. People flocking to Canada for cancer treatment, why? Disgusting.

mark my words, Ny never starts the lead on these kind of issues. and it doing so would start a domino effect which all states would follow.

This effects more then just NY, states surrounding ny are effected as well. Rest assured your next. Halo just launched for example they wont be in NJ long if they don't support our fight as well.

As vaporers we must support every state in force, together we stand devided we fall.
