The roof wasn't bad. Black roofing material and messing with galvanized metal makes for a hot, bright day. I'm use to the heat and cold, plus, I get compensated pretty well for what I do.

A few winters ago when we got an assload of snow and it didn't get above zero for damn near two months I was working on the new Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Aksarben Village. 14 stories with no glass or exterior walls of any kind. That was a cold job.

Hawkeye fans work in the heat....with hot and cold secretaries.....lol....except for me:laugh:
We do the ConAgra skating rink every year......cold. I remember the bitter crap a few years ago.

Not sure if it is the 555 or the sand dust at work. 120 degrees tonight on the floor with the mixers. 220 degrees inside the mixers. Add a respirator and chemical suit as well and we pretty much bake from the inside out. I am use to the extreme cold. At least I can layer the clothes. The heat has no relieve method. Can't even free ball it at work. Sucks

I hear ya on the extremely high work temps. I've worked over at the power plant south of Lake Manawa in CB. Worked in a room that was around 120 degrees for a couple weeks. It sucks when you have to go outside to 100 degree temps to cool off.

I'd much rather work in the cold than the heat.

One more thing. What are the shops here in Omaha. I know of 3 and have been to two.

Been to:
Plumes (120th and Dodge)
402Vape (84th and Park Drive)

Not been to:
Husker (150th and Maple, I think)

I live in Old Towne Bellevue, wish there was something closer to home. The jobsite I'm working on right now is right across the toll bridge from me, so I'm not really around those stores. Hell, I don't really even leave Bellevue except to go race my RC cars at Hobby Town.
