I remember working construction many a decade ago. It was colder here than Nome AK. And we broke the record for most consecutive days where the temperature never got above 0.
The roof wasn't bad. Black roofing material and messing with galvanized metal makes for a hot, bright day. I'm use to the heat and cold, plus, I get compensated pretty well for what I do.
A few winters ago when we got an assload of snow and it didn't get above zero for damn near two months I was working on the new Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Aksarben Village. 14 stories with no glass or exterior walls of any kind. That was a cold job.
