I dunno, I didn't really have that much trouble rolling after I oxidized. It does make it roll up a little "brittle", but manageable. You could try to just oxidize after you roll it and just give the coil end a good once over.

I don't think she would leave even if I told her to..lol

Just had trouble getting it tight being pre-flamed....
But I'm a work in progress sooooo.....

Doesn't matter....I'm chillacking big time tonight.
Think I may have avoided the Louisville trip....
Louisville rocks(and its a scary town)....I just don't want to go.

I always enjoy Louisville..far better than Lexington, BG and E-Town. Although BG always entertained me in it's own way..

I had a hard time with my first wick. I oxidized it before I rolled it, then I couldn't get it tight enough. The next wick I didn't make it as thick and I oxidized it after I rolled it. The first wick worked for a couple days then it quit wicking. I pulled out the first wick and started messing with it again. Finally got it rolled tight enough and I've been using it ever since. I think the first wick that I actually used was about 1.5"x1.5" the one I have in now is 1.5"x2". I'm gonna try maybe 2.5" next time.

How do you wrap your coils? Do you just wrap directly on the wick, or the drill bit method, or???

I just wrapped directly on the wick after I put it in the hole....

If I feel as if I have extra time to play, I will "pre-coil", set, fire up, slide wick in, etc.. Most of the time I have just wrapped around the wick, while the wick is in place.
