I would try it on the one I'm working on now, but I'm 45 minutes deep in this....getting close.....my hands and fingers hurt...
I really want to try a ceramic wick....but I'm afraid I would go broke trying to get one coiled without breaking it!
Dang! 45 min is a lot to invest in a wick...I wouldn't steer away from it now!
That's when you just coil around a bit and go that route. I will say that my last coil/wick that I did, I started the coil on the bit and the rest went as smooth as butter. I am going to do each one like that, from here on out!

Working outside today....yay!
At least we got the heater in our little shack working today, so we can warm up a bit every now and then. Damn thing wouldn't stay lit yesterday.
Gave up on my aga today already....don't know if it's not wicking or if I've got hot spots again. I didn't really like the coil I wrapped last night so I'll probably do a new one tonight.

Don't give up on the AGA. give it a quick troubleshooting and keep at it!
I'm not giving up on it yet....just work on it till I get frustrated then put it up for a bit and come back later.
I told the guys yesterday that if we couldn't get this heater to work then I was just gonna start the shack on fire! Luckily its a balmy 43 degrees in here now!

That's kinda how mine was. First wick/coil was pretty good....now I've had nothing but problems.....don't worry, I'll get it figured out one of these days

43 degrees? Be careful for heat stroke in there!
So far I haven't felt the need to shoot anybody.....but its early yet.

I would normally take you up on that in a heartbeat.. However, I will be jumping into Holmes Lake on Saturday and likely won't be done with everything until 3 or so
