For those who Crochet.
started with a magic loop and sc 6. Then just went round and round till it was long enough, made a very long single chain and joined.
I used varigated crochet thread leftovers, and a D hook (I think thats 3.25mm)

Sell them on Amazon. You'll make a mint. There's ecigs all over the place there now. Just list which models they fit, which looks like about all of them.

Gonna go look at some optician's chains for glasses. Might see something useful. Thanks for the idea.

:)

I bought one of those (actually a cord not a chain) from the drug store a while back and it's ok, but it's a little too short and you have to keep tightening up the rubber loops. I think it would be a good jumping off point though.:)

Thanks for the crochet instructions, Wildsky! It's been a while since I've crocheted anything, so this might be a since project to get back in the swing.

Edit for Kate: Surely you have some extra "beads" laying around to make something for your e-cigs. (ooo, I'm going to hell for that one:evil:)

WildSky that's an awesome ciggy-snuggly! And since it's stretchy it'll fit quite a few different models. A might girly for me, I can just imagine my crew's reactions if I show up on the job site wearing one of those...8-o but it's a beautiful and creative solution.
Cool Charlie! Where'd you find that clip? I can't seem to find them in any office supply stores I've searched in. It was the search for a clip like yours that led me to my current mode of transport. I don't own a pen-style, but I am doing something similar with one of my Super-mini's (RN4081). I've been using a Staedtler permanent marker pen case as a travel case because the diameters were so close it was like it was made for my vaporizers. But I also discovered that the caps w/ pocket clips would fit the LED ends of a couple of my batteries. The fit is good and tight and now I can clip my cig to my shirt. If you use a black battery and a black cartridge (either a Pee Wee, or other wrapped separately in gloss-black blank decal tape) it is almost indistinguishable from an ink pen. Can you say "stealth mode" for our brethren in banned countries? Since the cap covers the LED there's no light to give it away. People chew on pencils and pens all the time so walking around with it in your mouth doesn't draw any odd looks from passersby. As for a lanyard, sometimes I just clip it to the one my ID badge is hanging on. Make sure you also carry a real pen in case someone asks to borrow it.;)

I don't crochet either but you could probably sell some of these (if they weren't too much trouble to make). You could make different sizes and lengths. Look great!

I like to handsfree of and on with the penstyle swinging cart uppermost on one of those neck ribbons they sell with a key clip on.

Does anyone make a real pendant chain or ribbon for penstyles? I have an ugly old rubber band on the penstyle to fasten it to the dog lead type clip.

Wish it looked more elegant!

Got any nice solutions modders??

:sneaky:

Buy a lanyard from an office supply store. For the 801 the clip on the lanyard slides over the battery and a rubberband will keep it from falling off. Works for the 901 too. Just put the e-cig in the clip and twist a rubber band around both sides of it to keep it from falling off.

I just bought one of those things people use to hang their eyeglasses around their neck. I made sure that the little loops at the end were rubber and they stretched enough to go around my penstyle's battery. I think I paid 5 bucks for it and it works like a charm. I imagine it would work with any style. I'll try to post some pictures later. My GF has a beaded one and I found one that's just a plain black cord that blends nicely with my matte black penstyle. You don't have to pull them out to use them, works like a charm.

Yes I'm gonna be looking for one of those.

This is so true, BenJammin! No-one notices mine cos I hang a real ballpoint on the same lanyard now. Sometimes I chew the pen just to keep those subconscious assumptions cooking.

:D Yeah, undercover vapers society...
