So I've had a Vivi Nova and a Stardust both kick the bucket. The flawed design of the Viva Nova has caused the tank to leak from the bottom thanks to the threads being on the plastic tank itself. It has started to slightly crack and I've wasted quite a few milliliters of juice. And the Stardust tank simply broke off the metal that it was glued to.

I'm simply tired of these cheapo tanks. I don't care about spending money on a good product. I just want it to last.

What do you guys think is the best tank+cart on the market at the moment? The seal is the most important thing to me and the quality of the build. I just want it to last more than 2 months if at all possible.

Thanks for any insight :)

But imagine having a tank system that:
- you can rewick and recoil over and over again.
- doesn't have silica wicks or carto filler in them.
- no plastic leaching into the juice.
Many vapers are now beginning to seriously question the health aspects of all these diff accessories. Much the same as 8? months ago when we questioned the safety of the juices we were vaping.

jeeez. thats far too complicated for me.

while i vape carto tanks, i would prefer no silica or poly fill. so I'm working my way into RBA's. But if they are not for me, then carto tanks is where i will be staying. I do stay away from silica and plastic tanks as i enjoy Pluid, Fruity juices and such so leeching makes me angry.

The original poster asked for a high quality cartotank. He also has a low total post number, so I'm going to assume he is relatively new. For those reasons alone, I wouldn't recommend a Genesis type atty tank. That is for a more advanced vapor.

The Smoktech DCT tanks are a good place to start out with cartomizer tanking. The endcaps are metal, the tubing is polypropylene which is safe for use with all juices (no worries about cracking or melting). Available in 3.5ml and 6ml juice capacities. Both use the XL size cartomizers, either single or dual coil will work. 510 Pro DCTank Combo

You can get a high quality pyrex tank quite cheaply (less than $25) from OCD at IBTanked Home
Glass tube can be ordered to fit either standard size cartomizers or XL size. Clear tubes or painted. Three styles of stainless steel endcaps or several colors of acrylic endcaps. These tanks are slimmer than most tanks, so look better on devices that are of slim form. Juice capacity is under 2ml.

My three OCD pyrex tanks with acrylic endcaps on Silver Bullet, Provari, and BB. Also, a pic of a painted tube from website.(click to enlarge)

If you need a larger pyrex tank, the Tripple V pyrex tanks from Valley View Vapes Triple V Pyrex Economy Tanks are larger capacity and wider, so will look nice on a large mod like a Bolt or Silver Bullet. 4ml and 7ml capacity. Clear or frosted glass available. Also a side screw filler hole available. These tanks come with a standard silicone grommet and no endcap; you can use them this way but you will need to fill them by inserting a needle between the cartomizer and grommet - sort of a hassle. I can only recommend these tanks if the accessory aluminum endcaps are also ordered so that filling is the same as normal carto tanks. The 4ml size tank uses standard size cartos, the 7ml size uses the XL size cartos.

I also highly recommend getting the tank accessory tool from Big Daddy Vapor to protect o-rings and aid in assembling and filling your cartotank: Slap Yo' Mama Adapter : Big Daddy Vapor

Although I'm guilty of using clearos and Vivis I still LOVE my carto tanks...only thing better than carto tanks, for me, is dripping :D

coming from hookahs i know all about safety. frankly the only juices i buy are "organic" ones (not sure how true they are to the word) and im debating whether or not i should just start making my own. that genesis clone looks awesome, i just dont know if im capable of doing all that =/

Thanks for the input guys. I'm definitely still a noob, but I've rewicked my Vivi Nova before using cotton wick and silica wick. I have a basic understanding of how that works.

Please don't flame me too much for not truly understanding the parts of my vaporizer, but I'm assuming that the cartomizer is the metal cylinder that is inside my Vivi Nova? Then the head attaches to that with the wick, and the tank is the plastic tube that encases the whole thing? Perhaps I have this all wrong. Perhaps it is the vaporizer base itself? I have a unit called the Wraith located here: http://www.vapoligy.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=211

I see these wonderful looking tanks and I definitely want to buy one. But they don't have cartomizers that come with them. So what kind of cartomizer is supposed to go in them?

Again, sorry for my lack of understanding these basic terms. I've only been vaping for about 3-4 months now but I want to make sure I have the good stuff.

The Smoktech DCT tanks look awesome. I love the idea of glass or acrylic tanks.

So you guys are telling me that there are also cart-less or wickless tanks as well? I wouldn't even know where to begin. But everyone has posted some great information and I will definitely be doing as much research as I can.

Thank you!!

P.S. I've googled "what is a cartomizer" and all I see is stuff that look like e-cigs and are not the same kind of vaporizer that I use, hence the confusion I have.
