... I've just got involved in a decent setup, well ... what I thought was a decent setup. I got a Spinner 1300 battery and a Protank Clearomiser. However, the two don't fit together correctly, so I've had to file some of the Protank down, as well as filing some off the heads (or wicks). It still doesn't fit correctly, but I can get it to just about hold, though my Protank is nearly finished as the filing down has caused bits to snap off it. So this leaves me needing to get a new clearomiser - only thing is I have no idea which ones will correctly fit the spinner battery. Perhaps I just bin them both and start again? Any help would be very much appreciated. I'd add that I like the setup and enjoy the vaping, so would look to keep it similar, albeit perhaps a bit smaller!!!

Copied straight from the first website I found when googling spinner 1300 battery threads

"The Vision eGo Spinner Variable Volt is the newest addition to our eGo battery style lineup. They batteries work flawless with our Vision V2 eGo CE5 at 2.4ohms. This battery features a twist functioning knurled control unit at the bottom of the battery. You can select through 4 separate voltage settings to suite your vaping needs, 3.3v, 3.8v, 4.3v and 4.8 volts. This unit has a newly redesigned circuit board over the twist showing them to be more reliable and stable. The Vision eGo Spinner battery features a 510 connection thread so can be used with 510/306 atomizers (XL Delrin Drip Tips if using a 306 atomizer with the eGo Drip Shield™) and a 5 click on/off safety feature which makes this a truly pocket friendly PV. Length: 112mm"

Hi Garcks - I'm not sure what you've been filing down? - pics would help if you can. You shouldn't need to be filing anything.

Hi, I filed down the thread of the Protank and the thread of the replacement thread bit (that connects with the battery). I'll get some pics on later...

You should not have to have done that.

So, the connecting pin on the Protank was too long and it had to be filed down? And you also filed down the ring that screws onto the external threads (the "eGo" threads)?

Well, once you've modified your gear, there isn't much we can do to help. I have used my ProTank on my eGo-class batteries (including Vision Spinners) without any problems just to test how it does, but I mainly use my ProTanks on larger batteries.

I don't know what happened to yours, my suggestion is to get a new base and a couple of new coils for your tank and start all over--they are sold separately. Or you may consider switching to eGo-threaded Kanger claeromizers like T3, baby T3 or eVod--I use and like them all and they are made specifically for eGo-class batteries.

Good luck!

Garcks if you can take some close up photos of what you filed it would help. Both should just go together - unless one part has defective threading. Also, take of the beauty ring thing - or did you try that before already?
Edit; posted at the same time. Well, yes, it looks like the threads are no good on the protank now. Before shelling out more money I would buy a cheap adapter - like 510-Ego adapter - and see if it screws on to the Spinner ok. Or an ego cone - something cheap to test if the Spinner threads are ok.
