Hello all. I came here, because I'm having the exact same issue someone else had with their voopoo drag Pro auto-firing (seeming mind-of-its-own). Unfortunately, the thread doesn't allow any more replies, but this person's problem was word-for-word what I have been dealing with, and I wish I could reply.

Either way, I got this model, because it was supposed to be safer, but it isn't at all! It's autofiring so badly that it is unusable now and incredibly dangerous. It gets the liquid incredibly hot to where it burns my fingers. It fires all day. I can stop it with 3 clicks (which no longer changes the wattage, weirdly). But then it just starts autofiring again. It's bad. Something is very wrong with it and getting worse.

I read that they keep getting worse, as far as quality is concerned, and so I'm considering something new. I've been using the drags forever now. The reason being that the casing is sturdy as hell, and I drop my vapes a LOT. Some vapes break on the first drop. I drop mine at least 3 times a week. Concrete included. They usually survive for months and months.

All that said, what are some sturdy products that can take a fall (many falls)? No glass tanks...those always break so fast!

I need something sturdy, affordable, and preferably something that uses the same 18650 batteries (removeable), as I have a collection of those. I will get another Drag if I have to, but I'm kind of ready for something different. Maybe something not as large either. Definitely something that DOESN'T LEAK EVERYWHERE!

Suggestions? Thanks!

Welcome to ECF, Always_Something. To keep your fingers from burning, be careful not to stick 'em in hot ejuice! But I can certainly understand the discomfort of a mod that's too hot to handle.. It definitely sounds like a 'chip, maybe and/or a switch gone bad' issue for you. Have a look around here and you'll see and get a lot of suggestions about sturdy and reliable mods, pods, and other odd things too.

    Welcome to Eckeff, Always_Something.

VooPoo once made decent stuff, but I've not been impressed with their product line in the last 3-4 years, at all - especially when they moved over to pod systems. I bought quite a few of their Drag X Plus and Drag X Plus Pros, and found them very lacking in performance to what they advertised. To me, false advertisement means they can't be trusted, and so my money will go elsewhere.

Their latest Drag 4 and M100S kits with the new Uforce-L tanks have been the first upswing in terms of what I'd consider decent quality, but you mentioned wanting a quality pod system, and I wouldn't look to VooPoo for that.

Consider the OG GeekVape Boost Pro or Boost Pro Max. The Boost Pro is 18650 only, and uses GeekVape's P-series coils which I think is their best coil for DL vaping. The Boost Pro Max allows up to a 21700 battery, but has an adapter for 18650 in case you ever decide to go with a bigger battery, and at very little cost in size. This also uses P-series coils. Both of these devices are IP67-rated and covered in latex to absorb drops.

The only leaking I've experienced from either of these kits was when I left the pod full of juice and untouched for 5-6 months, which is going to happen with any pod tank or atomizer.

I agree, I used the drag, drag 2 and 3 and the only issue I had with these was the finish wore off pretty quick but performance-wise, zero complaints. I got a drag X and immediately I had problems with the pod leaking. Seems like bottom fill pods are doomed to leak at some point. Juice eventually got down into the electronics and now it's collecting dust. Out of the blue, I switched and got a VandyVape Gaur 18 and a ProMax tank. Been a fan of the Freemax tanks for a while now. The Gaur seems to be a pretty solid mod so far.
