My VV mod (Lavatube) broke when I tried to remove my drip tip with my carto attached and pulled the assembly out. Tried to resolder to no avail , threw it in the trash. What are my best options? Would like to be able to use my old batteries (18650's). Also open to other models other than the Lavatube and its clone counterparts.

[edit] Kudos to the mod who move my thread

My wife bought the Starfire L tube clone a week or so ago and she has been very happy with it. It is the 3 amp Young June version. No problems with it and performs very well. Entire starter kit was 72 bucks delivered, included the PV, 2 batteries, generic single batt charger and a nice little case. Got it from ecig charleston. Don't recall how much just the unit was. I left a review on it on the site. Only bad thing I can say is the bottom cap has metal threads which is nice but a cheap plastic cap attached to it which is not.

Looking to get one of these Smoktech VV Gripper

Will this be compatible with the flat top 18650's that came with my VV Mod (aka LavaTube, L-Rider etc.)

This thread is still open to suggestions, really wanna conserve that tube look. Any alternatives to the Smoktech VMAX?

Vmax won't use 18650's. If memory serves me right it uses stacked 18340's. So you'd probably be over the $100USD limit.

Except the 4amp limit on the Young June is a complete falsehood.

I'd go for the Buzz Pro.

Most of my VV pv's are 2.5 Amp and they have never been a problem. The only people that need to worry about 4 amps is someone who wants to vape 1.5 at six volts. It would be the same as wanting a car that went 250 and you never drive over 55.:)
