I really like the look of the ego k dragon etched battery, would it be worth it to buy one of those and some type of tank or are they bad batteries?

These are not variable voltage batteries. They are also not name brand. They're probably fun and might make good back-ups though.

K thanks, might have helped me dodge a major bullet there, whats a good one that still has a better looking design i like the high tech looking ones but hate to sacrifice quality for looks

Well, are you looking for an eGo-style battery? A box shaped one? A tube mod? There are so many devices out there...

iTaste vv v3?

For $100, I'd take a diff route than most (to start). Many peope are going to point out specialized mod set ups and tanks. I'm going to go a different route with my suggestion.

Get a couple 650mah passthrough ego batteries (I pick them up at the b&m for $20), the following tanks: iclear16/kanger mt3/smoktech dct carto tank (can get all 3 for $30 total), and drop the remaining $30 on juice. Report back to us on what you like and don't like about them... At that point we'll know your preferences (and we can then point you to match your tastes).

Otherwise, we'll just tell you what works for us... Which may not work for you. :)

:2c:...First, how much do you smoke per day? Second, what do you smoke? Third, start with the juice...Last, the unit(s).

2 keys for success: Reliable correct hardware to fit your needs and great juice. Period.

My opinion is you do NOT need a VV (Variable Voltage) for a great vape. I use a 900mah ego ( 4.2v off charger/3.2 V weak) and a mini evod 1.8ohm coil and I get 5-8 watts all day long. My problem with VV's is that often they are not accurate. I mean, look what you're paying for supposed "accurate" voltage? Not much. Often burned juice. If you're lucky and get close to accurate, it's a win.

So..once you've found your need for battery use all day long (Want to have enough), my recommendation is a high quality ego (look for brassy color at battery connector and thread quality and weight). There are some baaaad copies of everything out there. And I like the bottom feeders for the 510 thread. Kangers are my choice. Vivi's for top feeders. JMHO..Good luck man!

Oh and ...personally, I don't do carty's..I don't want to inhale the "fill" they use for wicking. Clearos are my choice, silica. 99% comes from China. Peace.

My unit: ego900mah and mini evod 1.8 ohm. Winboro Lights (14mg) Koolport Ice (14mg) Vape on!

Im thinking i like the protank mini 2 and 2 1100mah batteries and a charger, gotta do the numbers but i know its way under my budget so id have money for some stuff that looks good from mount baker vapor, does that sound pretty good? And i can always just buy the cheap ones to have extra ones on hand for having other flavors ready but the protank for whatever i like best

That's fine for a starter, and once you're within budget it makes for good insurance to have spares.

With the tank, you will want to get a few replacement atomizer coils; check the resistance; you will need to pay attention to the resistance of the atomizer coil till you get a vw mod.

The fastest way to save on costs is to save on the eliquid side of things. Most of the volume of eliquid is PG and VG, each of which is CHEAP, which is why so many vape places open up.
So I save on eliquid by buying 24mg 100%PG liquid, and add 1, 2 or 3 times by volume of glycerin from the pharmacy.

If there is a shop you can physically go to to sample flavors that would be really good to have because if you are just starting out, you need to find a taste you can stick with.

I dont know like ones that are like all metal and look complicated or like have

That is not a battery; it is a battery tube. You KEEP it. You buy replaceable batteries for it.

The ego type batteries, including the vv v3 and the MVP eventually will die and you will throw them away.

I got my start from apollo, google them & look at their specials page. They have a simple ego kit with one 650mAh battery, a CE4 clearomizer, a charger, & a bottle of juice for 15$ If you spend more than 30$ its free shipping & if they have a store nearby you can do a willcall pickup & pick it up right after you buy it... or go into their shop and use thier computer to place the order, otherwise they ship really quick, I ordered my dad stuff from them & he had it in less than 2 days. Also if you search for a coupon code you can get 25% off of an order. The coupon codes are one-time use, but they have a few codes with the same discount. They are based here in California & make all their liquids locally to me. I recommend their RY4 liquid, it's my fav! The blueberry kona coffee is good too, or if you want something fruity but not too fruity, the baja burst is pretty good too... the rich flavors can get a bit overwhelming after a while & the baja is a good change of pace. Happy Vaping!

If I was starting over again, I'd go for two iTaste VV v3's for $25 each, and two Aspire BDC ET-S clearos. The glass versions. Those can be found for around $8 each. For the price, the iTastes really let you experiment with a lot of features. Variable volt, variable watt and passthrough. They're the size of an Ego and they look great. Mini Protanks also go good with them, but are a bit more for around $11.

I'd recommend many of the same gear as above, I'm going to speak to the looks factor. Here's an idea of dressing up mods.
The smaller 2 in pic 1 are the Kanger EVOD kit batteries I started with + Protank2 minis with wraps
The middle 1st pic is a tube mod (evic, which is more than you'll want but plain looking like lots of others) + Hypertank (protanks work great on it)
The first in 2nd pic is an MVP2 + Aspire Nautilus (but again, most tanks work well.) This is a Shine version but check out MVP2 Energy line
The second in the 2nd pic is a VTR. Underneath the wrap it is army green.
Check out jwraps, they are not all girly like mine.
