Hello, I saw E-cigs and was instantly attracted to the idea, Being cheap I went off and bought one for 10$ of ebay, it came a week later and was awesome for a few days but now its broken and I want an upgrade. I saw Blu cigs and thought they looked great so i ordered one, After waiting 2 weeks and reading mostly terrible things i canceled my order, now i have around 70$ and want a new E-cig, I know very little about E-cigs and am new to the forums. What ever new one I get I will only use zero-nicotine cartridges, due to 90% of my habbit being the physical action of smoking. So please help me out with Ideas of what model, company and type of e-cig i should use, like I said I've only got around $70 I can spend on this right now and doubt i can scrap together to much more, thanks

What cigarettes do you smoke?
How often do you smoke?
Do you care if it looks more or less like a cigarette?
Do you mind futzing with it frequently to make it work better?
Do you think you want to see and feel a lot of vapor?
Do you think you need a lot of throat hit?
Would you mind pushing a little button to turn the battery on?
Does the size of it matter?
Or you going to be using it mostly at home? On the road? Inside? Outside?

Don't get a Blu. Get a 510, a 401 or a 901. Look around the board. There are copious reviews for all these models as well as linkage to vendors who sell them at very reasonable prices. You should be able to get an awesome starter kit for any of those models for under $50. I'm a big fan of the Joye 510. If you're interested in it, go check it out at InnoVapor.com.

smoke around 5 cigs a day
i don't really care as long as its not like a pipe or giant
i dont mind unless it takes a Large amount of effort
i very much prefer a lot of vapor (biggest preference)
dont need to much throat hit
i wouldnt mind oushing a button
size doesnt matter, but again as long as its not giant, pens fine
mostly at home

You'll still probably get a lot of different opinions, but it sounds to me like you are exactly where I was at for the most part, and the 510 model with manual batteries worked out really well for me.

If you do like I did and take it outside to smoke it as a way to take a break now and then, instead of sitting there vaping on it all day long, then the shorter battery life on the 510 should not be an issue for you.

alright cool, Innovapor seems good, is changing the liquid and such easy to do?

whoops sorry for the double post.
Yes, changing liquid is fairly easy to do.
Whether you're dripping onto the atomizer directly, or topping off.
My method is after I use a cartridge a few times (2 or 3)
I change on the filling with Polyester Batting (very cheap and you cna find it any craft store, it'll last forever too!) Remember if you're restuffing the polyester batting to make sure its packed down so its not touching atomizer, but you don't want it to be too packed or else it wont wick right. It takes a little practice to get it down right.
Then I add a couple crops of liquid to my cartridges (anywhere from 5-10, or with the straw mod like 12-18ish)
Then I usually add just a drop, maybe two directly on the atomizer (you don't have to do this, soem people say its bad for the atomizer, but my 510 is still going strong.)
Pop your cartridge on and its good to go.

ok, so ill need to buy polyester battering as well?
Depends on how much money you want to save.
I am not restuffing my cartridges myself yet, and I kinda hope I never decide to want to.

I am just buying blank cartridges, which can be refilled at least a couple of times, and even cleaned a few times and reused after that. Since you don't smoke that much, you may find like I do that 10 blank cartridges will last you a long time. I just bought 10 more for only $2.40 but that was an extremely good deal, and they might cost you more like $5.00 in general.

If you do buy blank cartridges though, get a syringe or a precision oil dropper bottle.

and all e-liquids should work?
Yes.

No, I ordered some ECO, jsut to see what it is. But it is not mandatory.
I have eliquid from many other companies.
Polyester batting is really nice to have and there are tons of videos to help you out with how to restuff your cartridges and save loads of money.
I haven't bought cartridges since I bought my e-cig. I just clean em out and restuff em.
You can also use fluval, which works really well. Its a fish take water polisher. Completely safe, there are many videos and threads on that as well.

Picked the right site for 'big vapor' too - ECOpure. Changing liquid is basically adding to the cartridge and dripping onto the atomizer (although) you should search 'dripping' for other opinions on the practice. IOW real easy.

If you decide you like it, then a passthru becomes almost a necessity. Allows you to hook into a usb port on your computer, from a wall plug, or from the car lighter (the last two have to have a usb outlet) and vape without having to change batteries.

alright im placing my order now, thank you very much

Far out! Make sure and let us know what you think of the 510 when you get yours.

Mine has been performing like a champ this week. Massive clouds of vapor. Now I'm wondering how much my mind will be blown when my Prodigy gets here, because the 510 continues to rock my world.

I have to disagree... this guy doesn't smoke enough to worry about that stuff at this point.

I don't have a passthru, nor do I ever imagine myself getting one.
I smoke about the same as the original poster, about 5 cigarettes per day.

One single 510 battery lasts me all day, every day, every time.

You made the right call man. Just got my 510 a week ago and have been very happy with it. I am looking to upgrade already just for around the house, but I was smoking 30-40 cigs a day. Plus I think that Innovapor has some dirt cheap starter kits without as many bells and whistles so that you can get up and running without throwing too much cash out.

As far as changing the liquid....can you pour a soda?

You're right. I missed that 5 a day part. I just 'modified' my posting to allow for email notificatioin and was responding to them instead of reading the thread - a mistake. And thanks for pointing it out. I think that's twice now - you gonna make me pay attention. lol.
