I am using 510 batteries. I have seen conflicting information on the best way to maintain the longevity of the battery life. In some places I have read it is best to completely drain the battery before charging and in others I have read that if you always drain it before charging you are shortening it's overall life. I have even tried looking at information on lithium batteries in general and receive conflicting advice. Can anyone tell me the best approach to take based on experience? I also need to know how to handle a Personal Charging Case (PCC) as well. It came with great instructions on how to charge it and use it. But, there was no mention on when it is best to recharge. I found this strange given the fact the literature that came with the 510 batteries from the same vendor stated over and over not to charge them until dead or else you could damage them. Do I need to wait until the PCC is dead or recharge it when it get's down to the half way point on the LCD meter on the front?
