You can get prebuilt microcoil a for your kayfun. I know it kind of defeats the purpose but if you like it that much it might be worth it for you

I never knew that. Thanks!

I have no problem buying my PT3 coils, but I'd feel like a heathen for buying them instead of building them for the KF. :p

Thanks for all the information on building coils. I really don't think its something for me. I don't have the dexterity in my fingers to work on something so small.

I might look into it later on and have the hubby do it.

Is there another tank other than the Kayfun, AeroTank Mega and the Nautilus that's worth looking into?

There's 2 directions to go:
1: you spend money buying coils or cartos
With cartos, you get a cartotank such as IBTanked.
You keep buying coils or cartos forever; 5 or 10 per month.
2: you go the rebuildable way. This is the dirt cheap way. 1 100 ft roll of kanthal will last years.

With the Kayfun types you wrap your own coils; it has the space to wrap your coil unlike trying to redo a protank type coil head.

I have bought several styles of tanks. and I personally like the aspire nautilus. they are big, hold 5 mils of juice. like any tank......and I do mean any tank ...they require some experience and a few lessons to be learned. with the nautilus, you have to tighten the coil to the base and then just tighten the sleeve finger tight to the base with the coil in it. for people having gurgling issues...they are either over tightening their tank, or pulling too hard while vamping. have to remember the mod/vaporizer does the work. all mods require you pull lightly, and always tighten your tank to the mod just tight enough to make the connection. when you over tighten you push the firing pin into the bottom of the coil and creates a problem while vaping.

as said tho, you have to buy and see what works best for you. the manger and aspire tanks are all good tanks. I would recommend going with one or the other in the end, so you can buy the same coils for all your tanks. and honestly my nautilus coils last me 9-14 days each. it is all about learning and treating your equipment right to get the most out of it. as is anything you buy. like keeping the oil changed in your car. lol

Thanks so much for the great advice!:toast: wonder if the over tightening to the mod is part of the reason there appear to be so many bad coils???

Kanger Aerotank v2. The end.

Well I've got both the V2 and the nautilus. Not sure which is better. They are just different in a lot of ways. Overall the Nautilus :D They both have to be tweeted. I put a short wide bore tip on the Nautilus which I really like!!:vapor:

Thank you for posting this question :) I am, however, curious about rebuildables. The problem is, I need someone to show me how it's done. I don't learn by reading it. Youtube can help, but in person would be much better. I may have to see if a B&M would be willing to show me. Until then, I'm looking into the Aerotank and Nautilus. I keep running into bad sites though :(
