Good evening. Got a question. I have been sub-ohming pretty much 24/7 for 2 months. I think I might be getting some side effects. Rough voice, cracked lips etc. So I'm thinking of getting a regular tank, at least for work. I've already got an Aerotank, but I hear so much about the flavor of an Aspire nautilus. My question is already having an Aerotank, 2 Kanger subtanks, and an Atlantis- am I missing something do you recommend I get a Nautilus? I would be running it with an MVP 2 or 3 or I stick 50. I am at 6 mgs 70/30 juice.

Isn't flavor subjective [emoji15]

absolultely..as is preference on tanks..

I've done them both, (Kanger V2/Megas & Aspire Naut & Mini Naut) and gave the Aspires to my daughter they're a tighter draw for me..for her they're the best.

so it's up to you..if you like a fast bigger draw..I'd say Kanger, a tighter slower (not for older scarred up lungs *lol*) then Aspire

flavor was about the same for me honestly..just the Kangers worked better for ME.

See, I'm on the opposite side... the Nautilus tank with the old BDC coils was an ok vape. The new BVC coils are just downright terrible... The ceramic-y taste of the wicking material overwhelms any juice I put into it and makes it taste like a hot mess...

When I must used tanks, rather than my drippers (i.e. at my desk at work), it's Kanger Aero's and Megas all day long. For a silica wick, it's clean and the coils last for a good long time.

It's an incredibly personal and subjective choice however - I'd recommend Kanger over Aspire every single day (and twice on Sunday), but I'd encourage folks to try both. There's around 5-6 full size nautilus tanks collecting dust at the house now. They wifey got jealous of my juice tasting better in the Kanger tanks... Just as long as she stays away from my drippers...

However, with the sub ohm tanks, that Atlantis is tops for me. The Kanger subtank is just too hot even at low wattages (both .5 and 1.2 ohm coils). The Aspire is cooler... once you tear apart the crappy coils and build your own to get rid of what I've now taken to calling Aspire Ceramic Flavor... ;-)

What is the wicking material used for the Nauti BVCs? When I take it out to rebuild them, it just looks like small cotton pads to me. Tastes the same as the organic cotton I add to the rebuilds. Everyone talks about the ceramic wicks, but I don't get it.

I have no idea what the BVC coils wicks are made of... I just know that it tastes very bad to me and doesn't behave like cotton. It's almost plasticy and clumpy. It just looks feels and smells like it's artificial and came out of a lab somewhere. After Aspire released the BVC coils my wife started taking my Kanger tanks. I used hers for a few days with fresh coils... I almost went back to cigarettes, it was that bad.

When I got my Nautilus Mini tanks, they came with the BVC coils with the cotton and I had no issues with them. However, I just got a package of the nickel wire Nautilus coils and the first thing I noticed was that the wicking holes were much smaller than the wicking holes on my BVC cotton coils. I properly primed the coil by drpping juice into the coil itself and then into the wicking holes, did unpowered draws, etc. When I start vaping on it, I get a weird taste that doesn't resemble any flavor in the juice that I am using. I wonder if they have recycled their older style BVC coils and are using the older ceramic wicking.

That's weird, because mine are not at all plastic-looking or clumpy. There must be two different types circulating. I haven't run across the bad ones, yet, thank goodness.

Thanks guys. I think I'll just expirement with what I have and some juice a DIY guy said he'd give me. I hear people talk about a product enough I think I need to own it lol. I got an Aspire used recently and that's a nice change of pace for now. I probably need to save my money and just buy a mod with replaceable batteries. Thank you all!
