Hey guys and girls,

Today I got my Kangxin VF mini.

I build a TC coil on my Lemo 2:
28g Ni200
3.5mm ID
8 wraps
.12 ohms

attached the leads directly on the screws.

When firing the coil at 420F at 40W I had a lot of vapor but it was freaking cold and the flavor was nonexistent. I changed the temp step by step up to 500F. The warmth was better then but still no flavor.

I took the Lemo off the mod and put on a Cthulhu with kanthal build. Vapes great.

But the Lemo back on, tried again. Way better. But I put on a warm Lemo so the resistance wasn't correct. I let the Lemo cool down screwed it off and on again. Cold vapor, no flavor.

I ripped the whole coil off and rebuild. Same as above but this time .14 and attached in the postholes. Nothing.

An ideas? Am I doing anything wrong with the build or could the TC on my VF mini just not be working correctly?

Is temp control kicking on when you vape? If it is it will throttle wattage down, killing off your heat/vape
Yep it does.
I tried another Ni200 build on the Troll last night which worked great.

So I'm pretty sure it's my wicking. Just can't see where. I build the Lemo with kanthal for weeks and never had any problems after I found "my" wicking. I suppose there is not enough liquid in the wick.
I think I'll do another rewick.

It's probably your wicking, if you do the "fan" method like you show, the wick needs to come out farther toward the juice channels.

While vaping only the very bottom of your wick gets to touch the juice, by stopping your fan so close to the deck there isn't nearly enough material touching the juice to wick efficiently.
