So I've had this ecig starter kit i bought for like 2-3 days and it's not working :( Hopefully it's not broken because atm I don't have the cash for new parts or smokes so it'll be a stressful week if I don't get this thing up and running. The one I have is 3 parts (Auto). When I take a drag the end lights up which leads me to believe it's not the battery. I have two battery's and with both of them it does the same thing...no vapor but the end lights up. I'm using pre-filled carts which I switched out when I didnt get any vapor I think the heater thingy is not heating up. :( I only have one heater thingy tho so I can't change it out to see if that's it but I don't fill any heat when I drag. Any ideas would be very helpful.

This is what I got:

I checked out the site, and I have to say I was discouraged on your part. Even if you didn't buy any juice from them, their prices are outrageous.

It's possible your atomizer (the heater thingy) has failed. Or, maybe it's not making good electrical contact. Check to be sure the contacts are clean. And, make sure the cartidge is damp. There have been cases of empty cartridges being shipped when prefilled carts had been ordered.

I feel bad for you. Hopefully, someone will have better ideas.

If you're sure the batteries have a good charge and you don't feel any heat in the atomizer (heater thingy) your atomizer is probably DOA. Make sure it's screwed into the battery well.

Well it's not Doa i've been using it fine for the past 2-3 days. I was worndering if something like it being dirty or if it got juice in it could cause it not to work. Also anyone know the typical life span of a atty?

Sierra, I feel your pain, sorry girl! I just had the exact same problems with a replacement battery I just ordered. I thought it was the atty until I put that onto my other battery, but it's fine. I'm no rocket scientist either, so I don't know why if the battery is toast the led would still light up? Keep us posted!

Life spans vary, I usually get a month or 2. I've had 1 die in the fist week.

The contacts look pretty clean but i wiped them off anyway...the carts seem to be filled i took one out and got a oily residue and it looks like cotton inside dampened with oil (It's the first time i've taken one out) So I'm pretty sure that's what it's suppose to look like.

I didn't hear any garggley noise :( It's starting to look like it's broken...I'm going to look at some ways to clean it and see what else I can do to be 100% before I start to panic ^.^

The atty is likely the issue. A problem I've had with one of my e-cigs (my only 3 piece), is that every once in a while the foil/plastic cap on the cart (the part that is punctured by the atty when the cart is installed) either doesn't puncture completely, or leaves some of the foil/plastic on the atty. Check your carts to see if the foil is broken completely by pulling them back off and looking into them after you install them, and also check the atty to see if there is any foil or plastic stuck to the atty bridge (the silver part of the middle piece that looks like a 'v').

Good to know. Well at least it wasn't a complete waste I know now that I love vaping...I'll just have to put it on hold for a month or two. Anyone got any suggestions as to what my next starter kit should be? (I'm not ordering anything else from the guys that sold me this starter kit . To bad I didn't find this forum before hand you guys have been very helpful.)

Only been vaping about a week, but I went with a KR-808-D-1 (Vapor King from Vapor4Life.com) and it is a solid unit. 2 piece design. Batteries are lasting me between 1.5 to 2 days and I have good vapor and Throat Hit. The cartridge and the atomizer are 1 piece (disposable unit).

I def think I wanna go with a two piece model this time since my 3 piece was doomed with bad luck. How easy is it to refill...I think in the end that'll be my real issue when I really get into it.

@NCC yea def gonna get back up for everything the next time around...life lesson learned at least this time around I have more info on hand ^.^

I ran into the same thing with my mall brand. I was frantic and ultimately went back to analogs until I found the forums and the mods. They have devices out now where your battery's will last a couple days. A tube mod is very nice because you can use re-chargeable battery's. So when the battery's finally die after a few months that is all you have to replace-not the mod.

Refills are a piece of cake.

still can't post links even from other peoples post >.<

Check the last 2 videos, one is intro and one is quick guide to refilling, although there are multiple methods to do it.

mmm info via videos....my fav :D Thanks for the post! Gives me a good idea how it's done.

Also on another note...that seller I got my ecig from says that he's not replacing parts because I bought it at a promotional price  So no hope of a replacement so I'll prolly just save up for a new kit before I spend $22 bucks on a replacement addy.

@rock yea im'a have ta go back to analogs for awhile until I sell some stuff on ebay (Sell purses on ebay hehe) so income is random...ill hope for the best tho because i really like the vapor alot even if it was only for a few days im hooked. All the pros of a smoke with a scentless tasty flavor :)

at least try cleaning it first before you give up on it. Search- my atty resurrection thread- by high ping. By doing this one a week or two my attys have all worked great and havent had one failed in the 10 weeks ive been vaping and i only rotate between two different ones.

Thanks for this info! Sadly my pv is a auto so that would'nt work for me. I did talk more with the people I bought mine from though and they said that they will switch it out for me if I ship back my atty since I'm a new customer. (I was up so late last night posting in the forum I woke up this morning thinking it was a dream and was sad to find out my ecig is really broken :( haha)

P.S. I've been reading allot and I think my next kit is going to be the Ego from tasty vapor...I hear good things about Ego and tasty vapor....would love to try some new liquid flavors other then this "stock" flavor in my pre-filled carts. ^.^
