Great - thanks for that info - I felt logical to me for some reason that the battery will drain, I just wasn't sure how much. Do you know if these batteries can be bought anywhere other than online?

I don't know which part of NY you are but if you in NYC, http://vapeny.com/ has a retail store in Jamaica, Queens (Edit: They have local pickups in Queens & Nassau County if you call first)

BTW - thanks a lot XP3  - I went and bought the innokin iTaste - I am so out of control it is pathetic.

I am not one to chase the latest gadget, but when I saw the review of the iTaste I fell in Love! It had all the features I had been wanting and some I had never even thought or heard of!

I have been waiting for CanVape to get there order. I can't find anyone who has them in stock. Did you preorder from someone or do you have one on the way?

I am also hoping on Saturday. I got sucked into buying an ego twist. Got one cheap from a vendor in Atlanta coming to me in western NC. I am hoping they shipped it same day.

I am hoping to make it my main backup and use it when I go out to bars, ect.

I will keep my one kgo battery as a third emergency backup. The black coating is coming off and it looks bad.

Funny how these Twists just end up in our lap, isn't it. I was actually waiting for some eGo clone pass-throughs to be replaced and when the Twists came out (or in, whatever) I was offered an upgrade. I am so glad the other batteries were late!

I think you meant a 3 amp load at 4.5V. A DCT with a 1.5ohm dual coil carto, running at 4.5V will give 6.75 watts on each of its 3ohm coils and draw 3 amps total. What does the Twist do in the case of overamping? Adjust down? Let you crash the battery? Shut down?

Anyway, that same carto will give a cold, wimpy 3.85 watts with a standard ego on each of it's 3ohm coils. I'm not sure how that could be a perfect vape. When the v1 Lavatube cut it's voltage to 3.7 with a dual coil, everyone complained that Lavatubes couldn't be used with dual coil cartos. And I agree. You need about 4.2V min. for a good vape with a dual coil.

The optimum resistance for a Twist would be 2ohms. That would give you a wattage range from 5.4 to 11.5 watts with a maximum of 2.4 amps.

A 3ohm carto would top out at only 7.7 watts at 4.8V. You'd spend virtually all the time vaping between about 4.3 and 4.8 volts, which would give you 6.2 to 7.7 watts. That's only about 1/3 of the Twists useful power range.

Yes, 3 amps! My typing fingers lost connection with my brain momentarily.

Cozzcon did a youtube video with the dual coil tank and the Twist. It fell short and backpedaled the voltage under load.

I ordered mine from White Stag Vapor on the 31st. They just happened to have them in stock. It shipped and is due here by Monday

I don't know where that horseshoe is but I hope it is not someplace uncomfortable!

I hope you do realize how lucky and spoiled you have been in these 2 weeks with ordering and shipping.

BTW did you order the adapter set or a square magnetic 510 adapter (that is so cool!) so you can use all of your 510 stuff with it?

Be careful that you don't put yourself into a nic coma trying all these things in all the various combinations! Lol

Lol!! I have to say that I'm loving this Provari! You know, I had no idea that there were two different models of the iTaste when I ordered - just looked at my receipt and it looks like I got the tank system do I'm assuming it's the square magnetic one? I'll know for sure on Monday.

I've been very careful not to put myself in a coma! Lol - been cleaning house all day and keeping Provari at a distance!

I got my 650 mah twist today. I used it on the way home from the post office and then charged it on my kgo charger. It is just a touch longer in size to my kgo 1100 mah battery. Button seems durable so far. Numbers are small but I have no problem reading them. Twisting the dial seems ok. I saw three numbers that show voltage values (3.2, 4.0, 4.8). In between those are dashes that show the remaining increments. My 5ml tanks look very odd on the twist. My 3.5 ml tank is a smaller dia and look ok on it except where the ego cone threads are. Im sure there is some type of addon to make it look more flush. My tanks use 3.0 smoketech cartos and the vapor production at 4.8v was good. I have no experience with battery life yet. I plan on using this at work and other situations I don't want to introduce my Provari to. One thing that will bother me is that I cant check resistance. Only because I am used to having that feature with the Provari. My boge 2.0 cartos vary in resistance. Because of that I tend to alter voltage based on that to get my normal wattage. So now I will have to use trial and error each time but not a deal breaker. I'm not carrying a multimeter around with me.

The Star Dust covers the threads well but I also found this
eGo Thread Sleeve - Fts All Std eGos CHROME [gv-egoTHREADSLEEVE-CHROME] - $1.65 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
although I haven't ordered it yet. It should look nice with any color battery because the ring is chrome where the button is on them all. Let me know if you find something different.

Enjoy!

Now that I have the Provari I've already gotten used to checking ohms - I think I've said it before, but I do not organize my cartos/attys so this is a HUGE plus for me. I like the Twist though, it has been my "batt-to-go" since getting it. In the house, Provari all the way.

I received the iTaste today in the mail, but haven't gotten around to checking it out yet b/c I'm hiding it from my husband for now! lol He should be in bed within the next hour so I'll take it out and let you know what I think!

Glad to see that you seem to like the Twist, wseyller.

Not the same sleeve ive seen but that is not bad either. My wife loves the stardust and she uses minty menthol flavors exclusively. She doesnt love high wattage like I do. I found that stardust fry too easy with more voltage. I will pretty much stick to cartos (no tank), on the twist and then the carto type tanks on my provari.

I just knew you were getting away with WAY too much!

Haven't seen one review from the iTaste yet. Looking forward to yours. The form factor looks great for when you're out and a big mod isn't suitable.

I should have posted this before. It may help as a bit of instruction as well.

Haha!! He will eventually see it and then just roll his eyes at me! He started vaping the same time that I did, and he has the same battery, ONE flavor (smooth cuban cigar), and has only gone through 2 stardusts. I, on the other hand, have 5 or 6 stardusts filled at any given time with 6 different flavors and at least 3 different batteries charged up!

Thank you for this! The instructions that come with the iTaste are pretty lame!

I like the stardusts on my Twist - I have some 2.1 - 2.4 ohm stardust that measure at 2.2 on the Provari - I'm vaping them anywhere between 3.5 and 4.4. I've yet to vape anything over 4.4 as I don't have any 3 ohm cartos at the moment.

Left to right - eGo twist (1000 mAh/stardust), iTaste, Provari mini/resurrector

The iTaste just kind of steals the show, in my opinion! You are SO spoiled!
