Beaumont, Texas (for now)
First off, I'll tell you my gear/juices, then my issues... Hopefully, someone can help me! Gear: 900mAh Vision Spinner, (2) 350mAh eGo Stealth Minis, mini ViVi Nova, Kanger T2, and a few smoktech 22mm shorty clearos. Juices: all are 75/25 and 18mg, 1 is 50/50 and 24mg.

The problem... I absolutely love the Stealth Mini (they were for my fiance, but 1 lasts him all day, so I stole the 2nd :p). Smoktech shorties worked great, but after a few cleanings still taste gunky/burnt and I hate having to top off after 15min of vaping. Obviously, they're too small. I tried both the mini Nova and the Kanger on the minis and I'm just not getting the flavor/vapor production I want. It's muted and almost burnt tasting, not to mention not very lanyard-friendly as they're too top-heavy. Tried the clearos on the Spinner, and the first few vapes were great, then it was just blah.

Fiance's happy with his Kanger/Stealth Mini combo, so I'm just going to leave that alone. I think the Kanger vapes great on the Spinner, not so much on the Stealth. Please help me! I need a better clearo for my Stealth mini and I'm completely confused about which one to get. Fluxomizer or Phoenix? Top coil or bottom coil? What's the difference between the top and bottom coils? And please, anything but that darn polyfill! Oh, how I've come to loathe polyfill... It's such a juice hog.

One more thing: I love the Butterscotch Blast Bacco juice, thinking of trying just the Butterscotch. Has anyone tried both? Is the Butterscotch much sweeter than the BBB?

Thanks so much!

^try these ^ I really love them ....they are small but... you just screw off the top to fill,so they are easy to deal with .
& are easy to clean, they also have replaceable coil heads ....they are also very sleek lookin' with SS Batts .

The difference between the top and bottom coils is just the placement of the coil
...I think top coils tend to have a warmer vape .

Fluxomizers are pretty GOOD too. A little harder to fill, but are fairly easy to clean & maintain, but they won't be the same width as your Batts .

Oh or the Stardusts they have the changeable heads too & are probably lighter than the E1's & mini novas ....

Top coil vs Bottom coil

Top coil is a warmer vape and will require you to tip the unit as the juice level decreases. You have to do this to keep the coil wet. This movement is also required with the ViVi Nova or else you will get dry hits.

Bottom coil is generally a bit of a cooler vape because the coil is farther away from the tip. Being on the bottom you don't have the same kind of wicking issues as the juice is always at the level of the coil.

The biggest question is how warm do you want your vapor. I think given the juice flavor you like I would go with the bottom coil, it will work well either way of course. Personally I would want it to be warm, but not too warm.

I have been using a really basic carto tank that fits the mini very well size and performance wise. Just a small eGo slim carto tank seems to be a good fit for your situation as well.

I have tried pretty much every setup there is at the moment and totally understand the OP's position on no poly fill. I would recommend the Carto Tank setup with a Stallion Hybrid Carto since it uses 80% less fill than standard cartos and comes pre-punched if you so desire. Besides the fact they are incredible cartos for my needs, since finding them I won't use anything else carto wise.....when I am not dripping, using a ViVi Nova tank...and so on. On the mini eGo it works really well, used mine for stealth vaping at a concert this last week and never had one problem.

I am willing to bet the OP was getting dry hits from the Mini Nova.

I like the Stardust styles as well but prefer the setup I mentioned more. With the carto I was talking about I think the flavor is much better. Using the ones with 80% less filler material makes a huge difference and I get better battery life as well. I can use them with the standard 510 stick batteries and get up to 5 hours of use even being a heavy vaper. You can get a pack of five for $10 and try them without the tank option to see if having much less filler makes a difference.

Not all cartos have the same issues with the filler material changing the taste of the vape. I am making suggestions based on what I have experienced trying to find what works best for myself. I also didn't like the idea or the taste I got from other cartos with all that filler material. After I tried these though I found them to be a great carto that gave me great flavor and hours of use on the eGo setup as well as the stick batteries that I like to use for a stealth vaping setup. They hold a lot of juice on top of everything else.

My two cents: I have tried a lot of different things and for the mini's and stealth vaping its hard to beat the Stallions.

Actually it isn't hard to beat them depending on your preferences... I prefer the E1 or the Mini Vivi Nova's... they hold more e-liquid, clean and dry burn easily as well as have replaceable heads. The Stardust Rebuildables also fit in this category if you prefer a little tighter draw. The Kanger T3's and T1's both are getting a lot of good reviews as well, but I haven't tried them yet.

I know a lot of folks that love the Stallions because they don't taste like fiber as many do, they simply don't have the capacity and don't clean up as easily as the ones I listed.

I am still surprised that the Smoktech Shorty carto's haven't been mentioned yet. While they do have fiber, they are very clean tasting and are probably the smallest stealthy carto out there. I keep a few of these on hand for times that capacity isn't an issue.... and when I'm done with them, I toss them ( they aren't able to be cleaned up for reuse like the Stallions and others mentioned here ).

From the listing on Got Vapes

http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=148_181_183

a unique, well-performing hybrid that features less filler than a conventional filler carto, holds a whopping 2.2ml of eJuice in a top-coil design with an effective 2.0 ohm performance on a 3.0 ohm coil, thereby causing less battery drain and longer carto life. The STALLION™ is engineered for energy efficiency on the coils by utilizing a design that decreases temperature and liquid loss and provides improved airflow turbulence, all of this contributing to a delightful 2.0ohm effective performance!

Phoenix bottom coil gets my vote. It's the only carto I trust. Easy to clean if you want to, I usually use one for 3 or 4 days then throw it away and get another. There only $2 each. Need to be re stocked soon I hope. Stallion gets my second vote.

They are great as well.

As for cleaning I use the plunger for filling and cleaning.

Another option is the Sapphire bottom coil tank.

I have ordered some of these, tried the smoktech mega carto's and they aren't bad.
