Need help suggesting a setup for father in-law

I have been a vapor for about 2 years now. I started with a KR808 then got a go-go and wound up giving it away to a pregnant friend and was a great excuse to buy myself a Reo Grand. I love it! Here's what I need help with. My father in-law is in his 60's and has been smoking for a LONG time has COPD and many other health problems. He asked me today where I got my Reo and seemed very interested in trying to stop smoking. I don't want to overwhelm him by giving him a $200 + quote on an e-cig since that might turn him off completely and I'm kind of out of the loop since I usually only lurk on this site anymore for juice recipes and such. What setup would you guys suggest? Oh, and he has tried a gas station e-cig and said it was "OK" but not very good.

Pass through means the battery can be charging while the device is also being used. ego-T is a good brand and can be had from a variety of different vendors. I recently got started with a Volcano Inferno kit, and am very happy with it (though wanting to get into a VV mod ASAP).

Get a couple of genuine joyetech ego batteries of your choice and a few clearomizers of your choice, charger and juice for starters.

pass through means...well basically that you can charge your device while vaping instead of changing batteries or plugging in your device to an adapter and waiting to vape..passthroughs usually use a mini usb..

vendor..check out the vendor page..there are tons of good vendors right here on ecf....id recommend checking out the reviews on them and finding one you like the best....best case scenario there might be one locally so you can avoid waiting in the mail and actually seeing what you're getting before you pay

Just received the ego-v v2 mega. Is cheap and fairly powerful, has LCD so you can see the power your at and battery level. It is also a pass through. I'm really liking it, it's the one I grab heading out of the house.

IMO you have the answer to your question right there in your hand.

I'm 72, and by far, a Reo with a 1.7ohm shorty carto is as easy to use as it gets. Rosemods.com has the cartos on their site for $1.40 each. You don't even have to prefill the carto, you just give the bottle a squeeze and start vaping.

I bought mine from nw vapors but they are out of stock. I just did a search and Whim wham vapes has them for 34 but the only time I heard of this company was from the result of the google search. So I really can't reccomend them.

+1. You got pretty lucky to start out with this kind of kit. The entry level VV Twist/ Spinner has got to be one of the best ways to start going. There is just very little bad you can say about it. I still use my twist almost every day.

I'm 61, a 43 year heavy smoker. I started with and still use 808s and cartos from smokeless image. As I have learned more, I have ventured into bigger bats and stuff, but I still think it was the simplicity that worked to get me off cigs. Oh, and a pass thru is a good idea as well. Frankly, finding the right juice was harder for me than the equipment.
