I want to buy some flavorings, I'm looking at Loranns, DIY and Flavorart. Flavorart seems to be based in Italy? Is there a USA site for them?

All are using different measurements, so I can't figure out which one is cheaper. I'm clueless when it comes to these things. Which is the best buy? Help please!

The Apple flavoring from Loranns

is 1 ounce for $5.50
or 4 ounces for $14.00

The Apple flavoring from Flavorart is

15g- $7.06
30g- $14.13
100g- $26.50

The Apple flavoring from DIY is

3ml - $2.45

cincy, oh
I can help with the calcs....

1g = 1ml (for water, so we'll assume)

1oz = 30ml (or really close)

So the cost per ml would be:

LorAnn's 1oz = $0.18/ml
LorAnn's 4oz = $0.12/ml

Flavorart 15g = $0.47/ml
Flavorart 30g = $0.47/ml
Flavorart 100g = $0.27/ml

DIY 3ml = $0.82/ml

fairies finest 2oz = $0.07/ml

The only thing left to consider is strength of the flavoring. I've only used LorAnn's and some juices, like cherry, will go a long way, but others, like apple, are pretty weak and you'll have to use a lot. This may be common across all sources though.

Good luck.

I've used the Apple from Loranns, the strength is about medium, one or two drops in a 3ml batch will give sufficient flavor. I've also used the Apple from Decadent Vapor available from Totally Wicked. Of the two, the Decadent Vapor is better. The Apple Pie from Decadent (also available from Totally Wicked) has received awesome reviews, I just got a bottle but haven't yet mixed any.

hiya Lisa. Do a search on the forum, someone created an ejuice calculator to download. I cant DIY without it!:lol:

I'm only knowledgeable about a few flavourart flavorings, but when it comes to their tobacco flavors they mean it when they recommend starting with 1% flavor - that's one drop in 5 ml assuming 20 drops/ml.

Very concentrated! In fact, their desert ship (camel) should be used closer to 1/2% to 1/3%, it's overpowering my senses at 1%.

I have a few FlavourArt myself and they are very strong:
Black Pepper: 1 drop per ml, Beer, Lemon, Brandy, Rum : 3 drops per ml.

For Capella my experience is : it depends
Capella Vanilla custard : ultra strong : 1 drop per ml
Capella Coffee : needs 20%
Capella Orange Creamsicle : strong
Capella Pumpkin pie : strong
Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl : strong
Capella Blueberry : needs 20%

Lorann mango : needs 20%
Loreann licorice: needs 10%
