Hi, I have an Infinity for about a month or so and bought it second hand. All of a sudden it seems to have stopped working. When I put fresh batts in it, I press the button and the blue light, lights up. But when I connect an atty to it, it does not work. Not sure what my problem is, I have never used anything under 2.4 ohms on it. I do have a shorty 510/510 adapter. I do not know if that has anything to do with it, but I have to use it due to airflow issues.

TIA

It sounds like the atty is not making contact with the center post , try wiggling the center out a bit on the aty/carto and see if that helps .

I'm thinking it might be more than that because when I attach the atty and press the button the blue light does not turn on and will not turn on until I change the batts and start over.

Ok, so I had a chance to really trouble shoot what was going on, I had a few tools with me to help out. Apparently the problem was the shorty 510 adapter causing the problems.

2 things were happening.

1. The center post atty connector on the infinity is really wide and hitting the outside negative threads on the adapter.
2. Being that the threads hit the center post, it pushed the center post all the way down so it could not make contact with any other atty or carto.

Thanks for your help, I'm happy it is now working again.

I have a couple of those adapters that I re-installed the centerpost in backwards so the small end goes the other way just because of the reason you described.

I'm thinking it might be more than that because when I attach the atty and press the button the blue light does not turn on and will not turn on until I change the batts and start over.

If you remove and re-install the battery cap it resets the IC. It does for me.

I'm not clear what you mean about the adapter. You take the center pin out of the adapter and turn it around? On mine the bottom had a small center post and the top has a large slotted center post like you would see on Kr8 adapters.

Yes when I take out the batts it resets the IC as well.

Sorry I thought you were talking about the 808/901 to 510 adapter. The center on it is also large on one end and small on the other and creates problems sometimes. So I took the center pin out and turned it around. It's hard as H H double toothpicks to get back together though.

Especially the 510 v2s I had the end go right in the end ef the center post and when I took the carto off to refill it the center post stayed on the adapter. Ruined a good carto.
