My Infinity is having issues today. I'm not sure how but the girl I share my office with said it was on my desk "hissing" so she took it out of the cup I stand it in and laid it on my desk. It wasn't "on" when I looked at it although the juice in my tank leaked. I didn't use it again until now, I pushed the button and the light flashes, nothing more. I changed the batteries worked for one hit then same, blue light flashes and nothing. I fiddled with it a bit, cleaned it, blew on it and same, I just look at it and ... it's on but I'm not touching it (possessed? maybe). I checked the voltage and it's reading fine at all points of the wheel. Is it possible when the tank leaked juice got in it? and if so, how do I clean it? I've seen you all mention an alcohol bath?
Please, someone say a prayer and exorcise my poor Infinity before it has to take a trip to Father Mike

remove the batteries and give it a press to insure no voltage is still hanging about. pour a bit of alcohol in and swish it around, drain and repeat. Some say to let it soak but that worked fine for me. Also could be juice leached through the cap screws, so try unscrewing it all and cleaning house. If your nervous about the alcohol try blasting it with some canned air first. Often times the canned air fixes it.

I had a leaky carto today that got liquid all over inside. It was coming out of the button, wheel and the battery area. I go to clean the switch off and ripped the button off (wtf karma!). So I get the superglue out, fix the button, clean everything up. Then my BP goes all supernatural on me and starts firing on it's own. I took it all apart and soaked it in 91% Iso for about an hour or more. All is good now. There was a lot of metal shavings in the cup of Iso and some other unidentifiable stuff but it's clean now. lol

Hey Mod... I think you need to check your Karma, what did you do, did you walk past an old lady who needed help crossing the street?

Glad everything is working again!
I was born. :p

Yea, most of the shavings were small particles with a few long slivers. Could be from when top caps were put on there, clearing the threads of excess debris. I'll wait until I lose the nub before I send it back (with my luck, it probably soon). lol
