??'s If someone is more of a VG person (70%vg - 30%pg) would they buy VG nicotine instead of PG nicotine for the blend..

Many confusing things to look at here...

Why is there...

PG with Nic
PG with out Nic

VG with Nic
VG with out Nic

In order to get Nicotine you need 1 of the two PG with nic or VG with nic... Correct?

I'm really trying to figure this out here but in the mean time I am going F!!!!! crazy trying.. I don't know how much more I can read.
Thanks A

Yeah, if you want such a high VG content then it makes sense to go with nic-VG.

For the second question, if you want nic, then something you put in there has to contain it and you'll need something that has no nic to adjust it to the level you want. (I think that is what you were asking, but tough to tell through the frustration.)

This stuff is probably easier than you'd imagine, right now.

(Granted, have the need to be absolutely precise with the PG/VG ratio increases the math quite a bit. That is why I just get close enough to work for me and not fret that detail.)

I have been making 100% vg stuff, using vg nic juice (36mg) & breaking it down w/ flavorings & plain vg
But I have acquired some 100% pg stuff & I think it needs some vg ....and wanting to do 70/30 or 75/25 ??
so I don't lose too much flavor ........ So I have been pondering this &

I have decided that the simplest way to do this is to just make 10 ml batches
you would just need to start with the same mg/ml strength stuff

ie: 7ml 12mg pg + 3ml 12 mg vg = 10 ml of 12 mg 70pg / 30vg juice

I think my logic is right here ??? I'm hoping someone will correct me if NOT .......

I have been using this calc. to do my mixes...
simplest calculator....eJuice Recipe Calculator

I have downloaded several others that are way deeper than I would want to delve most days ...

Thanks.. Hoosier, After making your juice what is the formula of calculating the percentage of VG and PG. (Example: 70vg and 30pg) I noticed the juice calculators don't tell you that.

Ah, I don't do that. I have bottles of PG/VG premixed at different ratios and use 100% PG nic.

I have 3 of those bottles and I just call them low, med, and high vapor. (80/20, 70/30, 50/50) I just put it in as PG in the calculator.

Digital you didn't say what mg you want or what strength nic base you want to work from. You also have to figure in the percentage of flavorings. The typical I think is 10% flavor and maybe 5 to 10% sweetener depending on the person.

Here is an example; say you want 18 mg ejuice and are using 60 mg VG nicotine base. You want a mix of 70% VG/30% PG with 10% flavoring and 5% sweetener in 10 mls. You would mix 3 mls of VG nicotine base/2.5 mls of plain VG/3 mls of PG/1 ml of flavoring and .5 ml of sweetener.

Try googling for the eJuice Me Up calculator and download it. In the Nicotine Strength E-Juice box add your base mls, doesn't matter if it's PG or VG, you'll remember by what you bought. The next box is your target strength aka what you vape at, then it asks for the amount you want to make. The next box says Water/Vodka/PGA but that's where I put in the percentage of VG that I want, in your case it would be PG since VG is your base. Then the program gives you spots for two flavorings, if you want more, figure out how much to start with of each and put the whole percentage in one box then divide the mls it tells you after you hit calculate by however many flavors. Under results the one marked PG/VG will be VG and the Water/Vodka/PGA result will be PG.

Hope this helps.

The ratio is all vaper's preference. Some vape 50% PG/50% VG because it gives the best of both worlds; VG for vapor, PG for throat hit and flavor. Some prefer more PG for the extra throat hit. Some can't use a lot of PG because it dries them out too much. Some are sensitive to PG. I can't vape any more than 20% VG, and 15% is better, because it causes my mitral valve (prolapsed) to do the conga. Why? No idea, but there it is.

As to the Mac, the only compatible one that I know of is a rather extensive Office based spreadsheet by scubabatdan here on the forums, and I know there's a version of Open Office for the Mac which will run it. The link for the calculator can be found in this thread; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/32206-ejuice-calculator-added-quantity-calculations.html?highlight=scubabatdan

Sorry, no phone support, unfortunately the vaping budget won't allow for it. Really, your best bet is to start reading everything you can get your hands on here in the DIY liquid area and eventually it will become clearer. :)
