Build a 1.5 to 2.5 ohm coil. The higher the ohms the cooler the vape on a mech (you will probably be sacrificing vapor amount and how quick it hits though). If you are already in that range then it is what it is on a mech, you'll have to put in on a regulated mod and use lower voltage or wattage.

I drilled my EHPro Kayfun Lite to 5/64. You have to remove the positive pin which connects to the positive block on the deck. Drill through the airhole with a nice sharp bit then wash and reinstall the positive pin and block. Makes a big difference in vapor amount!

Yes...more wraps in your coil for higher ohms will cool the vape. I use 6 wraps of 32ga on a 1/16" drill bit for 1.9 ohms.

The standard drip tip on the ehpro kayfun has a narrow hole, which concentrates the vapor...but it does help the kayfun to feed correctly. I prefer to change mine to a wider bore tip to make it a little easier draw and a little more air. Sometimes a longer fatter acrylic tip which cools the vapor more. If I'm having wicking issues (burnt taste) which can happen for me if I fill it too full, I swap back to the original tip for awhile.

I'm vaping a 1.6 ohm coil at 3.4v most of the time. I'm not a cloud chaser, but that's not what the Kayfun is for, anyway. With a mech, at higher resistance you will get a cooler vape and still get good vapor and flavor. I'd look around for a variable voltage/wattage mod. It's nice to have a volume control for vapor production. You can crank it up or down to match your taste.
