I need some help please,

Started building my own coils for the Kanger Toptank Mini and have also bought the premade coils which I like. I generally use Kanthal 24 or 26 gauge 2.5 or 3mm and in the ballpark of .5 to .7 resistance.

1.) I want to start using 316L SS and am having a problem finding premade coils. Anything that I find is 4mm diameter and the Kanger rba really cannot take more than 3 comfortably. I'd like the resistance to be in the range somewhere between .6 to .8. Can anyone post a link for premades to fit these specs in stainless steel. I know that I can build them but I would like to buy premade first if possible

2.) I have a Geek Vape Griffin 25 6ml tank that I have never used. It is an RTA. I want to do a single coil build to start. There is a ceramic block that blocks one side so I can use one side and a single coil. I'd like a little bit of fancier coil build. Can someone recommend something? and post a link where I can buy premades. I have the Kanger topbox and I also have another a 200watt box that I can use.

And does anyone have a recommendation for a dual coil build on this --I watched some videos and it does not seem that difficult so if anyone has any recommendations for coils on a dual build let me know

Thanks,

Chellie

I have had success with Advanced Vapor Supply, Kidney puncher, and even Fasttech. I was able to find premade contact coils at a 2.5 and 3.0 diameter. Also, I've been able to find spaced SS coils from FT that work quite well at 3.0 diameter. Resistance range was `1.0, but you could undo a wrap or two if you want slightly lower resistance. There are options but they can sometimes be hard to find. I know PJReid suggested a seller on ebay who will hand wrap coils to the desired resistance and diameter and whatnot. I will check my Pms and if I find it I will PM you. I'd imagine it's more expensive (although the tradeoff would be, you can ask for exactly what you want.

Good luck, will PM if I can find it. :)

Thanks a bunch. I did check all the places you mentioned before I posted but you gave me a great idea. I did see one spec on Fasttech with the diameter that I wanted and it was a higher resistance. Usually, their coil legs are to one side so I usually have to wrap one --in this case I can try unwrapping one. I ordered this one $3.75 316L Stainless Steel Pre-coiled Wire for RBA Atomizer (30-Pack) - 26 AWG / 0.4mm dia. / 0.7ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping. It specifically says that the bore diameter is 3mm so it was inexpensive enough to order and see if it works.

Have you ever used the Griffin RTA 25 - the 6ml one? I've never used it and it looks really nice and I love the larger juice capacity. For that one - I intend to try a more advanced coil.

I do not mind paying for the coils. Even with an increased cost --- it is usually still fairly nominal. For the simpler builds, after I find what I want then I guess I can wrap my own (or not). For the advanced builds I will probably just buy premade anyhow.

If you need 3mm or 2.5mm id coils, you can always buy 4mm id coils, place them on a 3mm or 2.5mm rod and use a pair of pliers to pull one leg while holding down the other leg, which will tighten the coil to the rod, then add an extra wrap or two to keep the desired ohm.
Thanks. I ordered a small number of coils from fasttech and it says the inner diameter is 3mm but you know how that goes (I saw 4mm written elsewhere) so if it is 4mm I will for sure utilize this tip.
