I just recieved my first IBTanked tank. The craftsmanship is second to none on this tank. It delivers great clean taste, but is a little lacking in vapor? I'm using the single hole 2 ohm carto, that IBT has on their site. Should I punch a extra hole in the carto? I'm running it at 10 watts on my VTR. With a 50/50 mix on the juice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The tank has little to do with the vapor. A good tank can insure a good seal and good pressure to help feed the wick.

I don't run my cartos much above 8 watts and get great vapor.

Perhaps it's a crappy carto. Have you tried changing it out to a new one?

I can get "most" cartos to perform well, but some individually perform better than others given they have the same specs (same brand/model, resistance, length, etc).

My son is using one of my IBTanks with an Ikenvape 510-Fusion on one of my Provari's. It's given him fantastic flavor and vapor production. I using the same model/brand carto in another IBTanked on my other Provari, with the same juice (DIY menthol) and it is not close to the flavor and vapor production as his. His carto has been going strong for over 3 weeks with daily refills and is still performing like it was brand new. Sometimes its just the luck of the draw.

Thanks,Baditude! I guess it's just "luck of the draw" on carto's? I'm using a Boge single hole in it. So far it has the best flavor,of the one's I've tried. The one's I got with the IBTanked didn't seem to perform well, though? Could have just been a few duds?

Choice in cartomizer brand becomes one of personal taste based on one's own personal experience. I tried Boges months ago and didn't care for them because the filler in them is more densely packed making filling them a PITA, since I use the top filling method and not the condom method. My second choice are the Smoktech single coils with two holes. My first choice are either the 510-Fusion or Platinum prepunched cartos from Ikenvape (but they are often out of stock).

Consistancy of cartomizers can vary from carto to carto as I pointed out earlier, and even from pack to pack. Literally thousands of these are made by BY HAND in China, with little quality control other than possibly some of them being checked for the correct ohm rating. There's no way to check how well they will absorb e-liquid before shipment.

Having said that, I prefer cartos over clearos. They give me better flavor and vapor than a clearomizer, and give more consistancy with hardly any maintanance other than refilling with more juice.

Agree with Bad on this one. I like my Boges. I've used the Ikenvapes with great success. They were just a little high on the resistance for me. Sometimes I use em on my mech. I usually order Boges in bulk and have had an entire box that was bad.
Once again you have to consider the mass manufacturing of some of this devices we use. That's why they list them as DOA when you buy them. :)
