I got a couple of these and I like them. I think one is 2 ohm and 1 is 1.8. The 1.8 seems to make my ego battery too hot

anyhow, I am used to the design of the reg 510 attys and these are so different

I usually take the drip tip off my 510 attys and drip into the cylinder- obviously can't do that with the 306. So, I drip into the tip but have problems with the juice getting stuck in the tip and then in my mouth when I take a drag

also- is there a different method of cleaning these? since the wick is exposed it seems like it would be easier? I was thinking of taking a little tooth cleaning brush and using that. or would that wreck it?

Xl or Long 306 delrin drip tips help keep hot juice out of your mouth. The regular shorty ones put your mouth way too close to the atomizer. Practice and a steady hand will keep juice from the sides of the drip tip. Taking out the wick under the bridge with tweezers makes it easier to keep the coil wet without flooding. It takes less juice and you don't risk charring the wick and getting the nasty taste.

I have tried blowing. seems to make it leak. maybe i am blowing too hard?

that all sounds so wrong

how about flicking your pv downwards a few times? like hold your pv on one hand, then hit [not too hard of course] the palm of your other hand with it a few times. sometimes i just do the flicking action without hitting my other palm.

i hope you got the idea. hope this helps :)

I used to use 1.5 306s on my eGo-Ts and yes they could get hot when I chain vaped. You have to be careful and keep at least two going so you can trade off and let the other cool down. Blowing air in to cool them as Optimo suggested helps too.

By the time I get to cleaning 306s I almost always take the bridge out so I can see the coil. When cold after a PGA soak, I use a plastic dental flosser pick or a needle to knock off extra gunk. A led lighted 7 X loupe helps me see what the heck I'm doing.

If properly primed initially, burnt taste can be completely avoided. Besides the wick holds more juice, meaning more vaping between dripping. Why would you sacrifice that?

I dewick because I use the Ultramax with RES and the wick is not needed and it gives a better draw without it.Even on my other mods I get a good 6-10 vapes between dripping when dewicked depending on the atty i'm using.
