Upon further reading (my family is starting to miss me!), I have decided that I better be cleaning my attys!
I have seen the VG method, the vodka method (really like the sound of that!), hot water method, and the Dr. Pibb method (although not really sure what that is!)
Any other suggestions?
OH! I have an joye ego w/regular atty.

From my experience, and I use Joye 510 and LR510 attys, don't clean them. I have not lost an atty in the 3+ months I've been vaping, and all my attys are working great. I just blow them out a couple of times a day while vaping, and blow them out before I set them aside to rest. This is my own opinion, so please don't take it as gospel. All I know is - it works for me.

I blow em out about twice a day, just to keep the juice vaporizing well. I also use the Isopropyl Alcohol rinse about every other day. Make sure you get all the alcohol out.

As far as the paint issue, I've found that if an atty has any chipped paint or scratches, the alcohol gets under the paint and it will peel from there. It may also soften paint if soaked for a long duration, but I don't do that. The atties end up being similar to the "platinum" atties. Ensure you get all the paint out if they peel. This may vary by atty, and even with manufacturing changes. I just don't worry too much about paint, as long as I keep it out of the inside. Good luck.

Edit: Dr. Pibb?? Dr. Pepper? Mr. Pibb? Hmmmm... Yummm. I wouldn't put it in the atty tho (not the sugared stuff anyway).

I use the isopropyl alcohol cleaning method. You know how clean it keeps my atties?

An atomizer is completely clean if, when dry-burned, the whole coil goes orange and no smoke comes off.

Blowing it out will not achieve that level of cleanliness. Nor will boiling it in water, a coke bath, or anything else. This is why people still dry-burn their atties, even when using other cleaning methods.

But cleaning my atties once every couple days in alcohol, they go IMMEDIATELY to orange when dry-burned. No smoke. I don't even need to dry-burn them, even after months of use.

For reference, I have never lost an atomizer. Nor, as far as I know, has Cozzicon.

Cozzicon is the originator of this method - Rosa posted the link to his video above. It's worth at least trying.
