Hey Guys.. I have been a member of this board awhile.. And lost touch with the whole E-cig idea.. For some reason i always was paranoid about using them. Not sure why. . But I want to give it another try.. in combination with snus and hope that is enough to kick the cigarette addiction..

I have been out of the loop for awhile.. I am not sure what the best stuff is, its a little overwhelming for me. I just wanted your opinions about what your favorite model is right now.. I don't mean expensive mods, but something that isn't too expensive.. I am thinking the EGO is the safest bet.. But do you guys know of any cigarette-like models that perform very well now for their size? Or your favorite cigarette looking device? are Carto's the way to go? If so which ones do you like..

Most important question I have is.. What suppliers do you guys recommend in terms of quality and price? I am looking for the best deal because I am pretty broke right now lol. I am in the USA. And where do you buy your juice from? I would be interested in getting the safest juice or the best quality juice with the lowest risks of contamination or getting a nicotine overdose lol. Sorry for all the questions.. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated because it will take me 3 weeks to look through everything from scratch.

Best Regards,

Paul

From what I've read the Bloog or Volt are some of the best cig sized units on the market right now. But they're still not going to give you the run time of an eGo or the like. Some of the most popular units these days are still the eGo, Riva, and others in that class. They're bigger battery and low price are hard to beat. Try E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings, use the 20% off button in the upper left hand corner and it'll come in around $30 for a Riva starter kit. There's lots of US juice vendors these days and you can count on consistent quality from pretty much all of them. I use VaporBomb.com but everyone has their favorites.

so the bloog or the volt are better options than the 510? The normal 510 i mean with the smaller batteries. I am leaning towards getting an ego with cartomizers.. Not sure yet.. I guess I have to shop around.. I don't know why im so paranoid over inhaling the juice lol. im ......ed.. I had a 510 and barely used it and continued to smoke cigarettes .. That might sound really ridiculous im sure.

It was the same for me as well - my first PV was a Joye 510 and I went back to smoking quickly.
The Bloog and Volt really did the trick for me, because they were easy to use, and performed very well.
Now I vape mostly 510-threaded stuff (riva's and some mods), but I still love the Bloogs and Volts, and use them mainly when going out.

Alot of people use electronic cigarettes to 'fill in' and cut back on cigarettes. Take the first step, use the e-cig whenever you can, and eventually you may find you prefer vaping :)

With that said.... in my household, we use Vapor4Life batteries and cartomizers, ego batteries/atomizers/cartomizers, and go-go setup. We have a heavy user (me) and a light user (hubby) I find the cigarette sized batteries dont last long enough for me so I like the ego and the go-go. The go-go can use an adaptor that will allow you to use 510 or 808 hardware. Pricewise, I'd say I use different vendors and all three systems can be found for around the same price to start.

As far as good all natural e-liquid that is produced in a very very controlled, clean, safe environment you can get a free sample from Vermillion River. He uses all natural ingredients and tobbaco plant derived nicotine.

Good luck in your quest to find the right e-cig for you!!!

I agree with the ego or Riva and cartos. I recommend the Boge 2.0 lr's for a great vape. The best prices on them are at CrystalClearVaping, GoodProphets, or Vapor Alley.

The standard cig sized 510 uses a 280 mah battery at 3.2 v, the Bloog and Volt use a 380 mah 3.4v battery. Longer lasting and hits a little harder. The regulare eGo is also 3.2 v but 650 mah, and the standard Riva is a bit higher in voltage and also 650 mah. But there is also a 3.7 v version out there too. You can also get 900 mah and 1000 mah eGo batteries. If you use an LR atomizer in the 1.7 range on an eGo or Riva it'll actually hit pretty good, and it'll be pretty consistent. The cheapest route is probably the standard Riva from Liberty Flights, a couple of extra atomizers, and some juice.

Thanks so much everyone for the helpful advice... About the cartomizers for the Ego / Riva etc.. There seems to be all different kinds.. Do you guys get the duel core (single).. Wow.. E-cigs have gotten a lot more complicated since I was involved on this forum. Everyone used to like the 510's and 901's with the tea bag mod lol. and like smoke51 was the new thing with the cartomizers lol.

Bloog and Volt batteries are the exact same product just rebranded I understand.
The Bloog being the more expensive of the two not sure why you'd want a device that only last about 30 minutes or so before needing a recharge though. I think the eGo kit from anyone is a much better product with a higher mah battery so you can use it all day if need arises. Combine that with any 510 atty or cartomizer and you have a lo cost vaping machine!
Check out ivape.net for cheap genuine eGo kits plus they have many different low cost kits.
Smokeless image also has cheap Volt kits for $44.

As for cartomizers, I like all of these :

SmokTech Dual Coil
Boge SR (I use them at higher voltage)
Kanger Dual Coil
Echo-E Dual Coil

They all perform nicely for me, and I don't actually have a preference, but the Kanger carto's (available in both 510 and 808 threading) are probably the cheapest at $1 per carto (from HealthCabin).

Again all this information is great.. the liberty deal seems the sweetest so far.. In regards to juice do you guys have any recommendations? I hate to take advantage of your help all in one shot lol. If i go with the ego I want to buy some juice, but with so many damn suppliers I am not sure who to trust.. I guess my biggest concern is quality of the juice and safety. In other words what do people feel confident inhaling.. Sometimes I get nervous because I feel like there could be anything in the juice or that someone might have put a crap load of nicotine in it by mistake and I could OD or some crap.. Nicotine is extremely toxic.. A small mistake could potentially kill someone.. I also hear people talk about certain flavors being bad for you or having a bad reaction etc.. I think I am leaning towards an EGO with carto's.. I never tried carto's before. but I find them interesting for some reason.. Not sure how the carto's will fit with that stupid cone thing.. I hate the looks of the ego and the battery mods.. they are so big and gawky.. I wish they invented some super battery that was small like a cig but performed very well.. I guess PCC kits solve that problem though.

Oh and do you guys recommend PG or VG? I know that people use VG if they are allergic or have reactions to PG.. I just am not sure what currently is recommended.. Is one safer than the other?

Best regards,
and sincere thank you's to everyone who helped.

Hey man, I'm going to be ordering some Boge cartos soon (probably low resistance since the attys that came with my Riva are 2.2 ohms and I like them but wouldn't mind a bit more boost). From what I've read, PG has the most flavor and throat hit but can be kind of harsh. VG dulls the flavor a bit, can be a little sweet, and produces more vapor. A 20%VG/80%PG or 30%VG/70%PG mix is usually recommended for cartos. VG is thicker than PG and can gunk up cartos.

A great big THANK YOU to dormouse for all of the great postings! I hope I got it right.

Yea somebody can mix a buncha junk together and call it USA made.I'm very conscientious about juice also.I only buy from vendors who use a lab.Dekang and echopure from cignot,Ultrapure from Innovapor,Elixors from Janty,(Jantys RY4 is AAA+).Dont think Halo uses a lab but they are trust worthy clean liquids. And Johnson Creek.Johnson creek tastes funky to me tho.Stick with good vendors and vapings gotta be better than smoking.I smoked 2 packs MLB reds a day for 20 years.Been vaping for a year now and can tell you that I feel and can breath 100% better.

You'll be surprised at the size of the ego. It's not really that big at all. Especially if you get the riva with the 750 battery.

As far as juice, probably one of the most popular juice vendors out there is almost a one man operation as far as I know, Backwood Brew. Some of his juice is sold out within hours of being posted. If it wasn't good or if it was poor quality, it wouldn't sell.
