I am not sure what is going on. I have 3 901 atomizers, and within 18 hours, all have stopped working. I ordered more, but they have not arrived yet, and I actually had an analog out of desperation.

The problems started when I accidentally broke a cartridge (I tend to chew on the end, and this time part of the plastic on the mouth end popped out) -- essentially giving it a much bigger opening. I tried to vape with it, and, much like peanut butter and chocolate, the result was spectacular: easy draw, huge amount of vapor. It was so good, I accidently bit the end of another cartridge, thus making 2 easy draw vaporizers. Big mistake.

I don't know if I flooded them or what, but now neither works with any of my cartridges. I even tried them with my USB passthrough and, nada. I used my backup atomizer last night with an unbroken cartridge, and now it has decided to not work. :( In all cases, the light on the battery/USB comes on, but no vapor. Also, no warmth at all on the atomizer.

Is there any way to tell if they are flooded, or burnt out? More importantly, is there any way I can get any of the three to work in the next few hours? I'm already craving, and I may have to go full blown smoker if I can't figure this out soon. Usually, my order would be here by now, but now USPS has decided to let me down.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've had atomizers seemingly die on me and then come back to life. If you flooded it, try draining it. I blow on the battery end of the atomizer a few times then let it sit on a paper towel for as long as you can stand to allow the rest of the liquid to come out. Additionally if you have any canned air you can use that to blow out the extra liquid. Before trying to use it again put a drop or two on the atomizer, give it a couple of minutes and try again. You will ruin the atomizer if you try to use it totally dry.

If that doesn't work there are many threads around here on cleaning atomizers using cola, or white vinegar, lemon juice and a bunch of others.

The first approach didn't work. I have cleaned them. What is the quickest way to dry them? I have used the oven before, but it took a long time. What is the hottest temperature I can use? What about a hair dryer -- is that too hot?

Also, isn't there some way to tell if it really is flooded, or if it is a battery/electrical issue?

One good thing about all of this is that over the last nearly 24 hours I haven't really wanted a smoke, but rather a vape. But I can't walk down to 7-11 and ask them for an atomizer ...

That was one of my biggest fears when I decided to take the plunge into vaping. I ordered lots of backup batteries and attys, just in case.

Use the little red tube that comes with canned air to blast into the battery side hole of the atty while holding it at a downward angle. See if anything drips from the other end.

THere are local shops that can get new attys to you in 3-5 days, though. Luckily, the 901 is a popular brand.

That's great to hear that you are craving the vaping rather than the cigs!

I did read recommendations to use a hair dryer for drying the atomizer following a cleaning. I don't think that would be enough heat to kill the thing, though I've not done so myself.

Sometimes I can tell if I've flooded the atomizer because it gurgles when I draw. I'm not sure that's always the case. Sometimes they just stop heating. I give them a break and they come back to life. I've done the cola bath and it really does get them clean. I don't know that it's enough to solve your problem but if the first approach didn't work then maybe it's a good time to try one of the other methods?

I think the fact that you tried your atomizers on your passthrough as well is a pretty good indication that its the atomizers.

I too panic when things aren't going well and have fallen back on analogs when my cravings get bad. Gawd they stink! I have a bunch of extra parts but I think I need more.

Yeah, that pic cracks me up. I am ordering 5 more atomizers right now (plus 2 on the way). Plus the 3 dead ones that will, of course, work the moment my shipment arrives.

I think its a lost cause. One is still drying, but the others are toast. Thanks for the advice.

And the analogs really are bad. I don't remember them tasting so ... chemical.

In my experience, the only 3 attys that I have had go irrepairably bad are the ones I used canned air on. I have cleaned others using lime juice and hot water, blow out as much water as I can and let dry over night, primed the next morning and they would work fine. For me the canned air just has not worked out all.

Thanks. I'll try this method on the next fried atty.
Perhaps the high pressure breaks loose the wires or something.

I have boiled a couple of attys that were dead for about 5-10 minutes let them dry and they came right back to life..............coincidence? Possible, but at this point it can't hurt.

I was about to say that I tried this and went 0-3. But ... one is working !!! I don't know if it was the boiling, or the soaking in lemon that did it, but, I be vaping.

I need the dancing banana smiley to truly express my joy.

Thanks to all, and, on a completely unrelated subject, does anyone want to buy 18 camel lights?

Hell, I still have about 15 pounds of bulk tobacco and a case of tubes sitting here that I haven't touched.

The tobacco will be used for DIY juice, though...
