Far as I can tell in my area everyone jumped into this without really thinking it thru. I send peeps to other stores cause they have the correct stuff. no harm, no foul.
:):):)

I'm more worried about liability & limitations of the different batteries & there is no one or two places to even learn about it. I need to know for ME. Vuse recently was handing out free coupons and I had a older person come in wondering why they were ill. OMG!!!
What if that was your mom or granny?

Apparently gas stations don't really care....vaping has been catching on more and now that the honeymoon is over it's going to be brass tacks time. I can definitely see lawsuits on the horizon for irresponsibility, if that makes sense?

Just because your shop sold the Nano to you for your Spinner doesn't mean it's safe or even going to work. Even with the 1.2 ohm head, the Nano is pushing the Spinner right at or right beyond its rated amp limit. Not safe. Don't become another vaping news story. Just get a nice, inexpensive subohm rated battery like the istick 30 and use the tank on it. I have a Nano. Awesome tank, btw.

OH! I see.

Yeah, you're gonna wanna tell whoever's in charge of ordering the e-cig related stuff to scoop something that can actually work with the Atlantis. The 20W iStick simply won't. 30W and 50W will, however. Your target audience, from my guess, will be most satisfied using the Atlantis (as well as certain other products your shop probably sells, using the 510-Ego adapter) atop the 50/30W iStick. No fuss, and they can't really mess up.

The Atlantis is also designed to work with the Aspire CF Sub-Ohm Battery, but to be honest, I'm not a fan of that battery charging with an Ego-style tiny charger, considering it's basically an 18650 in a fancy tube.

Yes, good suggestion.

Actually you need to tell whoever is ordering to start studying product sheets before they buy stuff add in a basic ohms law calculator (many available online) and you shouldnt be having these issues.

If I go to say visions site( makers of the vision spinner) or joyetech. Descriptions of the products clearly state what they can and cannot do. Ranges of atomizer resistances to use and so forth.

I find it mildly disturbing someone who wants to sell stuff doesn't even try to make sure they are selling the correct stuff.
But in the end you came to the right place. The absolute best thing you can do is pick up an item and go to a product page. Rinse and repeat. And it should all start to clear things up.

Half the time when I walk in a vapeshop around here I end up not only helping a customer or 2 but teaching the staff something as well lol. My setup is completely alien to most ecig and ego type dealers

So don't be worried about finding answers, just keep asking as we prefer to help you ( and potential customers) stay safe.

Compared to the average very few people who actually come here to learn have real issues beyond faulty products. And many of us want to keep it that way.

Again don't guess, if you for example sell a kanger subtank well then go get the facts from kangertech, then take that knowledge and check the batteries and so on its not hard to make this all gel. The information is available

I understand that. That's why I am here asking why it didn't work. They as a vape shop should have known that, and sold me a tank with coils that would work with my spinner2. Now I have to shop for a new device, or get rid of the Nano.

I was just saying at least Gee, is here trying to learn, so he can giver proper advice.

I also am learning, should have done a little research before I went in, but just got tired of my protank2 leaking and changing coils every few days. So I went for a new tank, they said here this will be a nice upgrade.....

I did check visions site, after the fact, but didn't see any information about coil ohms, which is why I came here.

Understood. Sounds like it's time to upgrade the battery. Lots of good ones out there that work great with the Nano. Not to be a broken record, but the istick 30 and 50 are great options. The sweet spot for the Nano (in my experience, anyhow) is about 27 watts, but alot of that depends on the mod and the juice. Either of those batteries is a great option that'll leave some room for growth. Incidentally, the 50 watt istick has crazy long battery life. Something to consider...

Now I have to shop for a new device, or get rid of the Nano.

If you think you would like using the subtank nano consider getting an iStick 30watt (2200 mAh)or 50watt (4400 mAh) or even the JoyeTech eGo One. The eGo One is a sleek looking mod BUT it's not variable volts or watts. That's the downside of this mod.

I think you should take it back to the shop you got it from, after getting all the info. you need from here, and then educate them yourself.

Well.do they make custom wraps for the isticks?

I quite like look the look and feel of the colors for the iSticks. It's a really tiny device, tinier than pictures might make you believe. Only a tad bit larger than an rDNA I believe. That said, pretty sure there are a buncha sites selling wraps for all variations of the iStick.

Jeez, it has been and is ever more worrying to see this new trend of readily available sub-ohm products being sold willy nilly without any concern for the customer's safety or even whether there is compatibility, from the b&m's.:blink:

That's a huge thing for me as I'm shopping for myself as well. Unless I was checking here I'd of never known, right?
Thanks for the info Thrasher!
Last think I'd want is a malfunction while I'm with the grandkids ya know?

Well seems the coils for my ProTank2 are 1.8ohm. Would I be better off with 2.0, or 2.2 on my spinner2? Could that be why I find the hits weak? Or why they seem to give out so quickly?

I had a bunch of Spinner II batteries....they don't last long for starters, meaning the charge cycle is low, after about a month they just didn't hold a charge for much more than a couple hours.

You might want to look at an inexpensive iStick 30W, it will fire what you have and the battery lasts a LONG time.
