Good evening all,

Like most neophyte vapers, I've found myself overwhelmed by the sheer variety of vaporizer types and brands that are on the market. Without a Consumer Reports for vaporizers, I find myself second guessing most reviews on the internet as being proxies for various manufacturers. I need help finding a start point point for a solid starter e-cigarette.

Here is what I'm looking for:

1. This needs to be a small form factor e-cig. I travel a lot and I don't want to deal with the hassle of anything larger than a 100 analog cigarette. Also discretion is a must since I choose to hide my habit from friends and family. This isn't something I'll be flashing around to impress people.

2. Needs to be designed with being refilled using e-juice in mind. I've found that after doing a some research, buying pre-filled cartridges to be prohibitively expensive.

3. Manual battery.

4. Reliability is also a must. This isn't something I want to be constantly finagling with.

5. Preferable optimized for a cartomizer design, but I wouldn't be opposed to a 3 piece solution in case you feel that I'll outgrow the 2 piece design quickly.

6. Compatible with a reliable PCC.

7. Price point is my final must. It needs to be $120 or less including accessories.

The designs listed on the best newbie cigarettes seem to match what I want (the 510 or KR808), but to be frank that still leaves the question of what brand to use, etc.

Thank you to anyone that can help me with making this decision.

With the specifications you list, the only one I'd recommend is the Volt from Smokeless Image. Even the starter kit with everything comes in under your pricepoint so you could pick up an extra battery or two. The batteries are about cig sized, but pack more power than a standard 510. It's a two piece design, pcc available but included in some kits, manual batteries are available, and carto's are refillable. I believe the kits ship standard with sealed auto batt's, but requesting a substitute to manuals is likely an option.

Your 1st item on the list shrinks your choices tremendously.
Out of the mini-cigarette type of e-cig, the Volt is the best option.
There are a few more brands that are identical to the Volt, but Smokeless Image costs less than the others (Bloog, G6, Smoove)

Choose one of the kits with the PCC, and specify the "mega" charging case
Select the 78mm battery and pay the extra $1 for about 50% more battery capacity.
Select the Manual batteries when you are choosing battery colors and size.
In the accessory page, there are covers to blank out the stupid light on the end. They're cheap.
Blank cartomizers are available at S.I.'s website or you can buy Horizontal coil Kanger cartomizers if you find them elsewhere.
If you stick around, someone will come up with a 15% discount code that I can never remember.
All this will come in at far less than $120 and leave you plenty of $$ for juice and extra cartomizers.
They'll also send you a free battery or cartomizers if you post your picture here in their vendor section under the "faces of volt" thread.
They ship blazing fast and their customer service is first rate.

Another vote for the Volt. Also if, after you receive your Volt, you post a pic http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-your-freebie-faces-volt-smokeless-image.html
You can then choose ONE of the following for free:
a free battery (any color size in stock - does not include MAXX batts)
a free bottle of 30ml of e-liquid (any flavor or strength in stock)
or a free pack of cartos (any flavor or strength in stock)!!!

The regular pcc has a 1000 mah battery, the Mega pcc has 2200 mah. According to the descriptions that translates to recharging your Volt batteries 4 times on the regular, or 7 times on the Mega. With a larger internal battery the Mega does take longer when you have to recharge it, plus it's a little bit thicker to accommodate the larger battery. Overall, I'd go with the Mega since it seems like they're the same price.

Smokeless Image Sale...
25% OFF everything in stock until Friday 6/15 11:59pm EST.

CODE: VOLTDAD
Well. Totally sold now. Plus nobody has had anything bad to say about aside from the limitations that I'm already aware of for a small vaporizer. What is the generic model name (such as 510, KR808, etc)? I'm mainly asking in case I want to look at non-Volt branded accessories.

Thank you everyone for all of your help. I just went ahead and purchased a Pro Kit from Smokeless Images. The entire purchase (including shipping) came out to $61.00 and included a mega charge kit, 2 78mm manuals, and a pack of cartomizers. I also picked up an extra 78mm battery just in case I accidentally kill one. I look forward to retiring my NJoy to a life of sitting in a box and praying that all of the Volts break. ;)

Hi sootking. Dont forget the faces of volt promo. I think its in their subforum. Take a picture of you and your volt, post it in their forum and !voila! they will send you a freebie. I know theres a little more to it but thats the jiist of what i understand. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
Thanks for the reminder, I really appreciate how helpful EVERYONE has been. I don't mind advocating their product if I like it, but I'm not interested in having my face posted anywhere on the internet if I can avoid it.
