Okay guys , few months back I bought a smok Infinix. I loved it , the draw was perfect , the throat hit was perfect , the flavor was.. okay i guess but i was so happy with it until.. it died after a month of use.
Now I've replaced it with a Uwell Caliburn. The flavor , best I've had so far. Coil longevity the best so far. The battery life.. not good. The throat hit .. not there even with 50mg nic salt and this is a deal breaker for me ( the battery life too , but i bought 2 devices so .. ).

Need suggestions for a better battery life and throat hit. Not going into smok anymore tho , coils and pods are unreliable and the devices themselves tend to die.

Maybe try freebase nic instead of salt...Most salt nic is designed to cut throat hit. The throat hit on 50 mg freebase would be extreme probably though

Maybe look at a mod kit instead of a pod system with external batteries.

If it has to be a small internal battery system there are others with higher battery life.

The Geekvape Frenzy might work. It has much better battery life and is probably one of the best MTL vapes for a pod system. Flavor and TH are pretty good as well.

The Biip is another which is made for MTL vaping. Although it is pretty big for an all in one. Almost like a mini mod but has great battery life, flavor, and can pick the coil which suits your vaping style.

I'm cornfused...why not just buy another Smok Infinix...

I'm pretty sure you spent more than $15/month...2 packs of analogs...when you were smoking...

For the size, I don't think you can do much better than the Caliburn. Sure if you go bigger there's more options but same form factor? I don't think you can beat the Uwell.

Battery life can be solved with a second device. Yes the battery is small, but they do charge quickly. Throat hit can be improved with freebase. 18 mg hits nicely in the Caliburn. Just my 2 pesos.

Have a Biip and like it. Seems to be well made, yes it’s big and heavy for an AIO, still smaller than most mods. I’ve had no leaking or other issues. Pretty good hit.

I just got a AsMODus Flow today, so I can only give first impressions. Charges fast, holds 2 ml, really nice hit - I have 25 mg salts in it and it’s very satisfying. 500 mah battery, which likely means you’d need two of them, but they weigh about as much as a pen. Easily fit a pocket.

I usually am vaping a dl single coil rda at around .3 ohms, on a squonker with 70% vg juice. But that Flow is a fine hit for mtl I think.

following here...

Own several Caliburns and do love them. Flavour is excellent but also very smooth while inhaling. Ok could be my creams and custards but sometimes you need a harder Throat Hit. Per today i vape 60VG 40PG which includes the 20% of flavour (as this is usually PG i do calculate it into the PG amount) . All FreeBase self made. Nicotine from HiLiq 200mg. PG and VG is ISO standard. Use a vape shop which sells it. 5 Liter of VG 15 EURO and 25 for PG.

Throat Hit
- more PG
- more nicotine? Does this really set a "harsher" hit?

maybe i should go to 50/50 to get more PG and so Throat Hit.

Beamslider is right...don't use nic salt if you crave throat hit. I NEED th, and salts just didn't help me at all. I've tried a bunch of pods, and when I found the right mix of juice, it became great, and has replaced my rta as a main device.

I used to be really sensitive to PG when I started vaping. But after experimenting a little with Juul, I realized I can tolerate it at some level - just not so much PG all day. So I made a "pod mix" of 40pg/60vg, with 24mg freebase. For reference, I was using all vg 14mg freebase.

Now, I use the Vladdin RE. This is a stellar device, and I'm loving the draw activation. And even though I use all tobacco, 50% NET/50 non NET, I'm getting more than 6 refills out of it. Battery lasts me most of the day. But with pods, I don't really care about battery life. None of them are going to last like a bigger device. And a Vladdin is small enough to carry 2....or more.

I get pretty good flavor out of the Frenzy. I vape mostly tobaccos and can get the different notes which I don't get with other pods. They (pods) are all I use for the past year or so.

I currently have, in rotation, Caliburns, Frenzy, Orion Q, Pasito and previously had a Nord (until is Smok'ed itself)

Nothing touches the Caliburn on flavor.

Nothing is more overrated than the Frenzy.

Today's rotation consists of a Wocket, Biip (2), Frenzy (2), Orbit TF, Pasito, and 2 Bisons along with a few Zeros for menthol stuff for a change of pace. For flavor, the Wocket is the best IMO but it is not MTL but I am not strictly a MTL vaper. I have a Caliburn but do not use it much as the hit is kinda weak and not a fan of the stick form factor. I guess to each their own.
