need to stock up on 510 atty's!!! get in stock darnt!

we got them in today DJ ...
the problem being ... if I go ahead and add 500, all 500 will be sold out by morning ... they get bought up in groups of 50-100 ...
The discount is great, but when it squanders atomizers away from many more users than the 5 people that buy all 500, it kind of defeats the purpose ...
....sigh.... thus the reason they haven't been added .... I'm debating whether or not to stop the bulk discount at 10 on 510 atty's ....

I think you should cap it at 25 per order of one type of atty. That was you can still use the bulk discounts. Just my opinion, I know they go fast. But the good deal is why they go fast.....
I think 10 should be the limit if everyone bought 25 that would only be 20 orders and they would still be sold out over night.
But then you don't get free shipping and it will cost $10 for shipping and that will up the cost per atty.
Put notice in big red letters, stating if you order more than 25, you will have all over that cancelled and the extra amt. refunded. Perhaps a tag that pops up a window if you order too much? I'm not sure how the script works for an order site to give better advice
I can understand the woes, but please please please don't cancel the 25 quantity orders I haven't had a chance (read - money) to order yet, and this would just be the perfect way for me to stay in budget... Plus I have to order a prodigy for my son for Christmas first too! EEEEEK!

Oh oh I got it -- remove the bulk pricing on the actual site. If they order 1 or 200 atty's, it's the standard price.
THEN! Put in nice big red letters, that if they want the special bulk pricing, email at *email address link here* with how many you want, and we'll get back to you. *list bulk pricing here*
Anyone who wants a bulk order will be more than happy to wait an extra day or two, I've never seen a site that didn't offer both bulk and standard that didn't perhaps take an extra day or two as details are worked out
This way you can limit the order to 25 or what ever your decision is best on, while still allowing the lesser monetarily endowed to get a really good deal
I am definitely saving up to get 25 atomizers, and hope the deal isn't gone by the time I make it there. (Looking like after Christmas, currently... ) 25 attys at $5 per, with free shipping..even a college student like me can afford it!

Bet you can. Somewhere in your site is code that says something like:
if (orderQty >= 25)
{
unitPrice = 5.00;
}
Change it to
if (orderQty == 10)
{
unitPrice = 5.00;
}
He changed it this morning. It's $6.50 now for 20 and that's as high as it goes. No more $5 @ 25.
