Ugh...today has been one of "those" days and I'm feeling really down. Lots of things on my mind.

First off, I just moved to Maryland from NC a couple of months ago to live with my boyfriend. I don't know anyone here, so I have no friends here, which makes me a bit lonely sometimes.

I'm having some health problems that are getting me down. Went to my primary dr. today, and left there with 3 appt cards (one for a follow-up with her, 2 for other practioners), a form to get bloodwork done, and a form to get x-rays & a ct scan done. She also sent me home with one of those at home test kits you do and then you fed-ex them to a lab someplace. *AND* I need to make at least 2 more appts with 2 more drs.

I'm overwhelmed by all this stuff. And I'm an insomniac, so I'm very tired (and probably cranky too, ha ha).

To top it all off, today is one of those days that I'm having trouble tasting my juices. Grrrr.

Just a bad day all the way around.

Sorry to whine so much. :(:(

Sorry to hear about your problems. I hope everything turns out okay. Please vent away...that's what we're here for.

As far as not tasting your vape, drink tons of water and eat some crackers. Also, if you have a strong flavored juice, like mint, cinnamon, something along those lines, vape it. We all go through this.

Dealing with doctors just flat stinks. I'm currently going through workman comp for an injury. I blew out 2 tendons. I still have yet to see a decent doctor that I can stand.

You moved to my home state (MD). I miss it. I used to vacation in Nags Head, NC every summer. Still my favorite ocean spot. I haven't been there in 23 years but I can still smell the ocean if I think about it hard enough.

Thanks, hairball. It sounds like you understand where I'm coming from on many levels.

What part of MD are you from? I'm still adjusting and miss NC sometimes. I lived 15 min from the beach. Of course, when Summer arrived and so did all the tourists, it wasn't much fun. lol

If I can get through all the health stuff, I'll feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished. :)

Yikes!!! Sorry to hear this. Hopefully things will get better and your doctors will get to the bottom of your issues. I wish the best for you.

By the way is that "Toonces", the driving cat???

Thank you! :)

Why, yes, it is Toonces the driving cat. The cat who could drive a car. (Just not very well, lol)

Holly, I am getting ready to start the Dr. merry go round too. I have diabetes and have put off seeing a new Dr. since we moved back to Tampa. Medical stuff is not my thing.
Once I find a female Dr. I don't want to go to 22 others specialists..but that's what they make you do. PITA! I will have to train this one to get all the blood tests done at one time..none of this weekly vist to the lab for different panels. One hole and done!

Too bad we don't live closer..we could go together. I hope things go well for you..post about any thing you want, at least one of us has been there or is going through it now. Hugs!

Thank you, Mary Kay! Yes, all these doctor/lab/x-ray visits are about to drive me crazy. I haven't even sat down to write them all down in my calendar yet because I'm just overwhelmed. Also, finding new doctors after a move is no fun, which I'm sure you can *totally* relate to.

I have several chronic health problems that keep me seeing doctor's quite frequently as it is. Add to this my newest health issue, which is numbness/tingling in my left hand. It just started a few weeks ago, but is getting progressively worse, and is affecting my ability to use that hand. As if I need yet another health issue...ugh! lol

(Just to be clear, none of my health problems are vaping-related, and I don't believe the numbness in my hand is, either)

I really appreciate the support from each and every one of you. It means a lot. :)

i've been dealing with the numbness and tingling in my left hand for years (sometimes both hands) mine turned out to be nerve damage. do get yours looked into, if it turns out to be nerve damage you might be able to manage it. i'm currently hiding from my health issues (fibro with a side of "it's all in my head" and a dollop of "lets just send her to a bunch of drs. that would rather prescribe than heal.")

Hang in there, try to get out and have a look around and come here for ((((hugs)))) :)

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time. Moving to a new area is always hard and frightening. I've spent most of my life moving from place to place, so I know all too well what it's like. Having health concerns just makes it even worse!

I just had an MRI because I've had a lot of pain in my right arm that goes down to my leg. It turns out that I have multi-level spondylosis and spinal stenosis with nerve involvement. It hurts like hell, so I'm not always a happy camper. Hang in there, hun! We're all here for you! Just sit back, take a deep breath and do one thing at a time.

Dawn, thank you. :) I'm sorry you're having issues of your own. My mom has fibro, and spends much of her waking hours in pain.

((((hugs)))) back at you :)

Thank you, WomanOfHeart! I'm so sorry you are having chronic pain, along with your health issues. :( I've been battling health problems for a number of years now. It caused a lot of problems for me at one of the places I used to work. My teammates would have to cover my workload when I was out (which was often), and they came to resent me. It was a horrible work environment. Now that I'm living with my significant other, I'm in a situation where I can take a break from working for a bit, so I can get my health straightened out (fingers crossed).

Here's hoping that we can all get to feeling better soon. :) Hey, at least we have vaping going for us!

I know what you are talking about with not knowing anyone. my hubby wanted to do uni in tasmania, so i moved with him. i didnt know anyone. about 6months later i met I♥myGG and she's been like a mum to me.
Doctor appointments suck! i hate blood test a little more but they are pretty close....

it seems like everyone has their own health problem. i was diagnosed with Bi-Polar when i was 14 and have only just decided to go back onto medication after a serious break down.
just remember guys there is always someone who will laugh, cry, comfort and listen to what ever you need to say. im pretty sure everyone here will agree with that.

Hugs to all we're hear when you need to talk/vent :) hope you all feel better

Thank you very much!! I'm sorry to hear about your recent break down. I have a friend who is bipolar, and she goes though a lot, so I can only imagine. I hope the meds help. ((((hugs))))

I really appreciate all of the support from everyone on this thread. You are all wonderful. :)

yeah it is hard and the meds do help to a point, but the side affects from the meds an be worse. thats the one reason i went off the meds and it urned out to be a bad idea in the end....
my family on the female side has shown signs of bi-polar or have been diagnosed with it. so we all learn early about the signs and thing we an do to deal with it.

venting is the best thing for you. it means you dont get knots in you stomach and make yourself sick or you do what i do and just ignore it until you just explode....
i never thought that i could meet new people who are so open and willing to help and talk about pretty much anything :)
you are right, everyone here is wonderful :)

The female side of my family is mostly borderline bi-polar. I learned at an early age how to deal with my mom when she was having a breakdown. She refused to take medication for it because she didn't want people saying she was crazy. What she didn't realize at the time is that they were anyway. She finally started taking meds when she was 45, after I moved out...LOL

Lucky for me I only have anxiety issues that stem from dealing with her moods.

Big hugs to all you ladies that are having a difficult time right now.
