Well, just when I thought I had it all dialed in making my own DIY, I went and tried some juice I got from a friend that was made from "naturally extracted tobacco" in blended cigar flavor.

It's outta this world. I must have some more!

So, first if you are making your own DIY from just nic and flavoring, beware. It's almost the same flavor of an analog, yet not nasty

Which brings me to my question(s)

Where can I get some naturally extracted flavoring for DIY? Is there such a thing?

Havent tried M-Type or Seedmans commercial, any good?

How about Flavour Art?

The extraction process is explained here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/

Don't think about making WTA. this is a complex chemical process and without a lab will not be possible. But making your own NET's is pretty easy. I prefer the slow steeping process as it keeps in a lot of the natural tobacco flavor.

You can get tobacco from a tobacco shop (as pipe tobacco), or from leafonly.com (get the samples), or get a nice cigar and chop it up. The sky is the limit.

Two great answers so far, I appreciate it :)

Just looking at the process of making my own NET from leaf. I wonder though, do I need to factor in nicotine content from real leaves (Nic Test kit) or what? Wanting to make sure the nic content of the end product is precise.

Myvapejuice looks interesting..... Just don't know where to start.

Wow, Mods, DIY juice, Rebuildable attys and deep studies into battery chemistry...... now this, too.

The offshoots of vaping keep multiplying. Fascinating.

To think just 10 months ago I started puffing on a Q510 kit thinking "Wow, this is pretty neat! I hope I wont O.D. on 18mg nic, since it's been a week in a half and I am already half way through a 5ml bottle"

ROTFLMAO.

The extraction process produces 2-3MG nic juice just from the tobacco leaves. Not enough to throw anything off. If you add a couple % of flavoring (oba oba, honey, vanillan, cherry, em, etc) It will just even it out. This will always be my F-U to the FDA. They can't ban tobacco leaves (I'll grow them myself if they try) and I can always lower hubby's nic usage to the ground and just use the extract.

Oh be sure to filter it out 2 or 3 times. (I just use coffee filters). The natural gums and oils gum up cartos and kills coils. I thinned my stuff out and filtered it good. Now hubby can get through 2 tanks without killing a carto!. Success!

Yes, making your own is where it's at. I'm in the process of using three different methods; what I call the 'slow jar' method, the 'pan' method, and the microwave method. Slow jar is simple, you just put some tobacco and VG in a jar and wait for a month or so. The pan method is my favorite so far, and just includes putting some VG in a stainless steel pan/pot, heating is to low (NOT boiling it), and stirring the tobacco into the mix for a few minutes. The microwave method is the same concept, but I didn't like it. Its a very light color, very light flavor, and overall not as effective as the pan/slow jar.

Whatever method you use, you need to strain well. I use two stainless steel mesh strainers with an unbleached, uncolored coffee filter in between them. I repeat this twice. I'm still waiting for the slow jar to finish up before I compare to the pan method. You can read plenty of other people's experiences/debates over in the "Tobacco Extraction" sub forums, which is where I learned all of these methods.
