Need Your Attendance Tomorrow Monday 10/26/09, 8 PM

To be with us, in the support of trying to stop the banning of e-cigs used in public places in Paramus, New Jersey.

FAST FACTS
The Paramus Board of Health on Oct. 26 will introduce an ordinance banning the indoor use of electronic cigarettes, and will vote on the ordinance on Nov. 23, after a public hearing. Both meetings will be at Borough Hall, 1 Jockish Square. The public portion of both meetings is at 8 p.m.

Any luck getting any Tavern Owners Associations on your side?

This is some group of Officials.
"I’m very pleased that Paramus is in the forefront of prohibiting e-cigarettes," said Paramus Mayor James Tedesco.

"Our biggest fear is that young adults will make the move from e-cigarettes to real cigarettes," said Al Ferrara, of the Bergen County Health Services Department.

Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and Freeholders Julie O’Brien and Vernon Walton were also on hand to announce their initiative.

Walton called the e-cigarette "liquid poison," and his colleague, O’Brien, said that companies selling e-cigarettes are marketing the product to children.

"Who else can this be marketed to if it has flavors like candy," O’Brien said. "Every parent needs to know about this."

Health Officials Ferrara and Hopper said that diethylene glycol, an ingredient in e-cigarettes, concerns them. The ingredient is used in anti-freeze and can trigger asthma.

Fine group people alright.

Not that I know of, I am coming from a different county in NJ for support against this, with hoping to voice my opinion, along with Spikey, and her group from Long Island, NY.

BonnieGirl of Right to vape has been in contact with Mr. Hopper. He appears willing to listen to facts supporting electronic cigarettes. To anyone attending this meeting: please be respectful and present the facts. If you have to acknowledge a lack of information, do so, but keep it positive. I implore you to put our best face forward and show these folks that we are not pariahs, we are people who are trying to lead healthier, happier lives.

Good luck everyone.
