Has anyone run into this before?
I'm at work and all the smokers know I vape now and asked plenty of questions and a few have even asked for info and bought starter kits but they didn't stick with it or still smoke too.
Now I hear things like you know that thing looks like a one hitter or I see you have your crack pipe out.

What the heck is that all about? I always say something like thanks for your support in my getting healthy. I know they are just trying to be funny and don't really mean anything bad but enough is enough.
Even my hubby can't resist a wise crack- while I was refilling a bunch of cartos he said you know it looks like you have a drug lab in here hope the neighbors don't call the cops on you.
Sheesh it seems like the only real support I get is from here.

People just don't understand how great vaping can be, or what it can mean to us. We have found something that works for us instead of smoking. It's hard to get others to understand how great that is. Since you are one of the few who went with it and had it really stick people just don't quite get it. They are probably trying to get a rise out of you is all.

I have some people at work that tried it from another vender who's product is waaay over priced, and who's vape taste like chalk dust. They refuse to give it another try because "The internet said these guys were good." So they think that junk vender was the best.(Kids in their early 20's---> know it alls) So they make try and make fun when they see me vaping. I just wave at them as they have to go run outside in the rain and smoke.

Middle of nowhere
I wouldn't sweat it much.
I carry a mini drug lab in my car everywhere I go.
I have let several peeps try my stuff. Some say negative things others just say it's not for me.
That's fine.
When it is all said and done I know it is healthier for me why should I care what someone else thinks.
My wife and son-in-law(which HATES smoking) supports me. That's all I need to know is my family supports what I do.
To bad your husband doesn't. :(

I've found it was the lack of education on the subject and then the jealousy factor which everyone already stated here that causes that reaction. Once it was explained and/or tried by others it all stopped and nothing but support was received from others. My husband was THRILLED to death with my turning to vaping. He has COPD and couldn't be around me when I smoked. He also tells everyone who will listen to try and get them to try it. I'm proud of you Ambrossiaa ♥ Don't let them get you down

Ahhh, yes. love that term 'negative nellies'. i've gotten to the point now where I really don't give a sh@t about what people think. I quit an almost 40 year PAD nasty habit in two days, so I say to the people that make idiotic comments....nothing. I just smile and keep vaping.
I will be 55 in a couple months and age comes with benefits

Im one of those know it all 20 somethings. Ive gotten two of my classmates to buy starter kits. One of them isn't using hers as much but the other is using hers alot! At first I had a friend that was like 'hey chain smoker' and was negative. I just rolled my eyes. Now that its been almost 6 months and I can honestly say I havent had one cig, he has shut up. I stand with him and his friends when they smoke and vape. I dont preach to them or hassle them. Im no hypocrite. They can choose to do what they wish. I just think they respect me more now since I kinda of proved it works by sticking to it (it was soooo easy).

People do NOT like it when you succeed at anything. You rid yourself of a nasty habit & they are not going to run over to pat you on the back. I've had some of that & could really care less. I just laugh at them. To the response that I've just replaced one habit with another - the other habit was killing me. I'm a big girl, know where the store is & will smoke IF I wanted to. Had one female actually yelling at me how these things won't work. She eventually told on herself that she quit a 40 year smoking habit a year ago & still misses smoking, but she quit. Goody for her. Every week she is there I sit as close as I can to her & vape away.

I've gotten a few negative comments on my vaping at work Ms. Ambrossiaa. Depending on who it is dictates whether or not I walk away or go back at them.... It's partially jealousy, it's partly because they don't think ecigs are safe... Sometimes it is just to get a rise out of me, but they learn quickly not to do that one..... Crazy has it's benefits....

Snow sir that approach works well... Personally, prefer the walking up and giving a good quick shanking..... :)

I mean nothing against you or 20 somethings in general (I am still in my last year of 20s my self and so is my g/f)Ms. Clover heh. The early 20s kids that work around me just tend to have that attitude. Not all 20 something in general heh.

I know sir, but my point is you'll find that anywhere at any age.... I know plenty who switch to a different vendor or type and suddenly feel they know everything there is to know...... May have only been here for 3 months officially, spent 3 months lurking and saw quite a lot of it then, still do now..... And as they say, arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand......

A fact that I well know. Age means nothing, stupidity and ignorance reach far and wide. I work with people all day, every day. It's always funny when someone who clearly knows nothing but is desperate to try and look like they know something. One experience can't count for all there is. But that's something people have to learn over time, it just takes longer to sink in for some.
