Hey all,

Looking for your feedback.

I've got an ss Nemesis and I'm looking to get another, either in brass or copper. For those of you that have, or are familiar with, both, I'm wondering which you prefer. I'm also wondering about the engraving - which version's tends to look better out of the box - and after some use?

I have a brass and ss Chi-You, and the brass one's engraving pretty much faded right off after a couple of weeks. Might be the nature of the material, I suppose.

I realize that there are a ton of different manufacturers of these clones and, no surprise, the quality varies as well. That said, I'm hoping I can get a general sense of which might be the better "next buy" (even though I'll likely get both eventually!).

Thanks in advance, ECF crew!

Lol. Define "better?" Is it better, or just newer?

Anyway, I have both the brass and the copper. Are you planning to polish them, or let them patina? If you are polishing, I don't think that most laser engraving will last forever.

I really like the look of the patina on brass. I believe It's also a more durable metal than copper. But there is something about the look of copper that I really like!

Here's a pic of the engraving on both after some hand time and no polishing. (Ever! Lol)

Both are Hcigar.

Going through the same thing...kinda. I want a copper Nemmi because of what everyone says about the copper mods, but I'm afraid of the threading. I also just saw a video of the brass King, almost a satin look to it. Or I might get the brass Chi You so I can switch around parts with my SS Chi ?

I need a sugar daddy QUICK !!! LoL

I have all 3 (ss, copper and brass) by HCigar and use the stainless the most. However it is just because it doesn't tarnish and works fine for a daily type vape. I also have 3 sets of the aluminum tubes sold by fasttech in black, blue and red. So I pretty much can combine into many different looks so it keeps me occupied and works well together.

Now as for better that is really hard to say since they all including the aluminum tubed ones have .5 volt or less power drop with a .8 ohm atty and a fresh battery. So they all hit about the same, all function the same with the same silver plated contacts and same tube layout other than material. I am using the Nemesis clone though more than my Vamo 5 or Lambo 6 since I've got them but recently ordered the Hana DNA 30 clone to try out. If it works out I will be either gifting the Vamo and Lambo to family members or selling them. I wouldn't part with any of my Nemesis clones but did give a Tobecco to a grand daughter as tubes wouldn't fit though it worked well just different threading on tubes.

Take a look at the voltage test thread, I'm pretty sure the nemi clones are all pretty much the same as far as vdrop goes, I'm a stickler for low vdrop so I'd definitely go after the best one of them if there was more than a negligible difference but if not I'd go ss all the way, it's much stronger and you can put any finish you want on it,, you can heat it up and blue it, I much prefer ss to the brass nemesis I have, I don't like brass at all, but that's just me..

A simple voltage drop test of the HCigar clones in Copper, Brass, Stainless. Using an IGO-W RDA at .067 ohms and freshly charged Sony VTC5 30A mAh battery.

Copper: 4.20 volts, 3.97 w/atty, .23 drop
Brass: 4.19 volts, 3.93 w/atty, .26 drop
S.S.: 4.18 volts, 3.74 w/atty, .44 drop

Now fact is this is not really accurate since I only did two hits with just the battery then two with the atty picking the lowest if not the same. In my opinion if less than 2 volt drop you probably won't notice much difference really and less than 1 volt, then you have better senses than I do for sure.

I've added this series of tests using the same method as listed above only using the following: Nemesis Aluminum tubes with the nemesis copper, brass and stainless steel tops and switches. I'm using a Stillare clone with duel coils giving a reading of .51 ohms and efest 18650 35A battery rated at 2500mAh.

Copper/alum: 4.14 volts, 3.74 w/atty, .40 drop
Brass/alum: 4.14 volts, 3.77 w/atty, .37 drop
S.S./alum: 4.13 volts, 3.55 w/atty, .54 drop
