As far as I know you won't be able to buy juice or hardware.

On the other hand you only have just over a year to go. Juice lasts well over a year. You could figure out how much you need for a year and stock up. Get someone who is 21 to buy it for you because I think the age restrictions kick in immediately. Make sure you have spare vaping gear as well.

One more wrinkle. In May the new regs kick in and there is a fair chance that no vaping gear at all will be available. If you see yourself vaping long term you would need to pick up a bunch of gear and nicotine and all that stuff.

Good luck.

I hate to be a party pooper, but it's probably not the best thing to be giving tips to circumvent the law to someone who is underage... It sucks that 18-20 year-olds who vape were not grandfathered in, but it's probably not the best thing for the forum's reputation to be known as a place for those that are underage to get help illegally. With the current climate, we already have enough scrutiny as it is.

Hi, I am 19 almost 20, i currently vape and have been for over a year. I still use a mod and have juice. How will the new restrictions affect me?
It's probably legal for you to buy nicotine gum... generic is pretty cheap. It might suck, but you could try doing that for a year... we all know gum doesn't really help anyone quit, but it might tide you over.

I believe possession is not a crime.
It's a crime for a retailer to sell to you.

As i understand it the restrictions went into effect 12/20/19 so will affect you now. It's a bummer i know but you have your Govt to thank for that, i am not a fan. If you are deemed adult enough to fight and die for your country but not allowed to make adult choices regarding your health, that sucks!

Let's say they raise the age to 100. That's every bit as arbitrary as 21. There was actually a bill in Hawaii to do just that, but it didn't get much traction. We'd suddenly all be "underage". Would you then say the same thing to everyone in the Are You Done Stocking Up thread? Let's face it, everyone there, yourself included, is looking for ways to "circumvent" the upcoming bans in May. I see this no differently.

This obviously sucks! It is going to be a touchy subject around here (ECF) As far as I know, the forum (that includes many people from many countries) allows over 18 to participate, but if it's 21 now in the US, how are we supposed to respond to those in the US under 21 (I'm sure most of us agree this is crazy and futile approach) Forget what may (and will) happen next May, for now I see this as a "conundrum" (is that the right word?) and just one more hurdle (obstacle) to help people quits smoking (or even just take up a fun hobby... I don't judge) Why the F did vaping become the new scapegoat? I have no idea... but it does seem the plot just keeps getting thicker. Sorry for the rant, but we might as well get used to more posts like this. OP... hang in there.

Sorry, I agree with all above that it sucks to be legal, and have a new law change everything for you. But if you were my kid, I'd say bite the bullet and quit now. You don't want to have either a smoking or vaping habit for life, so it won't get any easier than it would be today to quit. Nic withdrawal is nothing after a day or so. Quitting a habit of decades is hard. And the longer you wait, the harder you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

Deep breathing and nicotine gum or lozenges may help. I honestly don't know what I would do in your situation. Vaping wasn't around when I was your age. Vaping helped me quit smoking and I am thankful for that. I also don't want to quit vaping so I stocked up.

Pardon? How is tellnig a 20 year old to stock up while he can any different than SOME of us (like myself) having 17 liters of nic in my freezer?

Unless it is illegal this very second, I see no problem with the advice to either stock up until 21 or for the rest of time frankly.

Right now as we speak people in Shinyitis are openly plotting to evade the law by having accomplices order stuff in other States and send it on to them in unmarked packages. And if the possession of concentrated bulk nic was made illegal tomorrow how many of us would hand over our stash to the authorities?

The way I understand it, it is illegal for retail outlets to sell any tobacco product to those under 21,, now,, as in start of the business day 12/21/19.

---> Retail Sales of Tobacco Products

So the OP has to either find non compliant sources or follow the BS as handed down.

Just me, I wouldn't trust any non compliant source on the planet.

But it is illegal this very second...

Telling them to stock up before the law is in effect is one thing, they are buying it legally and I am pretty certain that enforcement will most likely be more on the sale of product than usage. i.e.: I don't ever recall hearing about someone being prosecuted for underage smoking, but I have heard of shop owners facing fines from "stings".

Someone said the forum rules were that you had to be 18 to join (I cannot find the rules, but I am assuming that is correct). I am pretty sure that rule at the time was based on the common legal age for vaping. Meaning the forum admins most likely did not want to promote vaping to underage users. I do not think that has changed.

Enforcement would most likely only be on the sale of product, not possession. The difference here is that us purchasing product now is 100% legal for us to do. However, it would be illegal for him to do so.

I would hate to be in his position, they should have been grandfathered in. And my opinion has been that if they are going to raise the age to 21 for things like alcohol vaping, tobacco, etc..., they should do the same for being able to join the military.
