I get where you're coming from. But disagree. True, they will need plenty of accessories. But plenty of folks do just fine with a few cig sized batteries to swap around. I've been using ecigs for some time now and while I did go on a journey to find the best, biggest, baddest hit\device I could, I have come back to REALLY liking the newer style cig sized ecigs. Very handy and very effective. This new setup I've been playing around with(102mm v4l battery with a nhaler G5 clearomizer) gives a great hit. The batteries last around 2 1\2 to 3 hours (more depending on how much I use it of course). For the folks that want a bigger PV, I say go for it. I've had quite a few and liked all of them in some ways. But for the folks skipping up on having a cig sized ecig because of all they hear, I say they are really missing out on a handy little device that will find a use in their day to day routine.

Have a good day!
You know, I've been thinking about buying newer kits (real-cig look alikes). I'm sure I've got the crappy ones in my arsenal. I'm thinking about the Bloog MaxFusion and buy lots of disposable cartomizers. Anyone here can recommend one with a reasonable battery life other than what was mentioned here?

I think I'll be looking for those.

;-)

I, too, am glad you found us before your purchase! Nothing against Green Smoke, never tried them, but I can almost guarantee that you would be wishing for something more within a week or so of starting on their product. Your eGo kit should be sufficient to hold you over for a while, but I can imagine that you'll be wanting to get into bigger batteries, maybe even tanks before you know it!

Wish I would have found this site before I made my Blu, V2, and SmokeTip purchases! In the beginning, I thought those little tiny things were all there was!

dotma, thank you for the info. I wanted to go cartomizer initially but wasnt sure what to get. I shopped at king vapors so if anyone shops there and could send me a link to what I need, Id be most grateful  Or if you all have a better place to shop, I'd gladly welcome any recommendations. Not sure I'd have the extra cash to replace an atomizer so dont want to set myself up for failure!

A drip tip is nice, but not essential. If you order the Resurrectors (cartomizers) from Crystal Clear Vaping, Andrew will even throw in a drip tip or two.

thanks! anything I need to know about using a drip tip? ie. do i need to store my PV upright or anything like that?

You should def get the "Ressurector" cartomizers. They are awesome and really not any more than the boges. They hold 2ml of juice so it will be a BIG difference from the cartridges you have now. CCV is free shipping which is nice bc you can make small orders and dont have to pay almost the amt of your order for shipping. If you get a 5 pack he throws in a free syringe to fill them which makes it easy. If you get a 15 pack youll get a syringe and a free drip tip of your choice.

I know your going to wonder how the heck you fill a cartomizer with a syringe so Im just going to explain before you even ask.:p

You can fill cartos 3 ways: With a syringe, the condom method, or dripping into it with your dropper bottle.

All three work but a syringe really is the easiest and quickest way to do it. The condom method can be alittle messy at times, and dripping into it can take a lonnngg time because you have to wait for the juice to settle. You should really use a syringe especially if you use the Ressurectors or any other XL cartomizer. They hold alot of juice and will take a really long time to keep putting drops in, letting it settle, ptting more in, etc.

I originally wrote this in another post for someone that asked how to fill the Ressurectors so I am just going to copy and paste it. This is for any cartomizers though. Instead of the 2ml that the ressurectors hold, you would just put the amt of juice in your syringe that whatever catomizers you are using hold.

Here ya go!

How to fill a cartomizer with a syringe:

"All you have to do is take the dropper part of the bottle off your juice and fill your syringe with 2ml for a new carto. Take the rubber tip off the carto and carefully insert the needle down the side pushing against the metal. DO NOT go thru the filler because it will move it and you could potentially break a connection and your carto. Slide the needle down the side and go all the way to the bottom. Then slowly start dispensing some juice. Dont dispense it all bc then it won't be evenly distributed. Put alittle in, then take it out and insert the needle in a different spot. I normally do it in 3 spots (in a triangle) I found it distributes the best, but you could just do it in 2, on opposite sides. Make sure the needle is at the bOttom bc then you will not have to wait at all for it to settle. Disperse slowly and you will begin to see the toP of the filler become slushy. It is full then, don't put more. If its a new carto is will def hold 2ml, if your refilling it won't take a lot so pay attention and once it gets alittle slushy stop. While your filling hold a napkin or something under the carto bc if you do it too fast a few drops will come out the battery end. If that happens its only bc you did it too fast and the poly fill didn't absorb quick enough.( that happens to me bc I am impatient and fill it in about 10 sec, so I just hold a paper towel or napkin underneath.) wipe up the drops and put the rubber cap back on the carto. Then put the carto between your hands and rub back and forth spinning the carto quickly. This will insure the liquid is evenly distributed in case you put too much on one side from the syringe.
Now you have a perfectly filled ressurector that is ready to be used right away!"

Goodluck!

drip tips are normally used in place of a cartridge for people that drip directly onto an atomizer. You can also though take the cap off of a cartomizer though and put a drip tip on to have a mouth piece. It your preference. You dont need to stand it upright. The filler in the cartomizer will hold the juice in

mynameisrob- seriously, thank you for all the info. I stumbled on a thread earlier where someone had vaped and got liquid in their mouth. Caused their mouth and throat to burn  would really like to avoid that at all costs! haha

Rob is absolutely spot on. Even though I don't drip, I still buy drip tips because they are a heckuva lot more convenient to remove than the rubber caps that come with cartos, and they are very lip-comfortable.

I agree Myth, and thank you OMGlis50!

So let's see if I have this right...
1. It’s cheaper to buy your own flavor and nic juice. [Head over to the DIY thread and learn up]

2. Drink LOTS of water as vaping will dry me out.

3. There is no such thing as too much juice.

4. BlueMist Vapor has a huge selection of flavors and good prices.

5. Start a vape fund.

6. Atty + cartridge= PITA, higher cost. Cartomizer=convenient and more cost effective. Opt for the ‘ressurector’ cartomizers. Crystal Clear Vapor has good prices and service.

7. Directions on how to fill a cartomizer: pg. 4 [thanks mynameisrob]

And finally, from what I understand from the info page and various threads, I will go through withdrawals which may or may not include zits, mouth sores, and quitter’s throat. Will hack up all the bad junk for a week or 2. On the plus side I’ll have more energy, will breathe and smell better, my color will return to normal, and I’ll just plain feel better in general.
On my last 10 analogs and eGo will be here tomorrow. In a few hours I’ll never have to light up again! :toast:
Thanks again for all the welcomes, great advice, and taking the time to help. One day soon, Ill be able to help someone new in return :)
