Hello all. Im running into problems, and getting discouraged. I bought an EGO clone and some local juice. Wasnt very happy at all. Not much vapor and liquid tastes, well, not good. I ran into this forum and found theres many options available. Yesterday, I ordered two Vision Spinner 2, some Aspire ET-S bdc's, and coils. Hopefully that helps give more vapor. That said..

I smoke 1.5-2 pks a day. The brand is USA Gold Menthol. How do I find something close in taste so I wont have to spend $100, which I really dont have right now. I really want to quit smoking, but the liquids I tried(2) local brands, tasted like dinner mints or salem, which I hate. I dont think, right now at least, something fruity or candyish(is that a word?...lol) will help me quit. And im really not sure what blend of PG/VG or nic will help me in my quest to quit smoking. Any suggestions?

Thank you very much.

You won't find a true tobacco cigarette taste but you might take a look at Heather's Heavenly Vapes, they have a big following.

As to the PG/VG ratio, I assume most folks start at 50/50 and work from there. Nicotine level varie's greatly ... I'd start around 12 or 18mg I guess  Samples would be a great way for you to start :)

    Welcome to the forum!!

I don't know about any good tobacco blends, but for me it wasn't the tobacco flavors I liked anyway. You could try some hearty flavors like Vanilla Cupcakes and various pie flavors, maybe? There's coffee and expresso flavors too, if you like a strong hit. I personally like Virgin Vapor, VapeRite and Mt Baker Vapor quite a lot. The cheap ones often taste artificial, which is mostly not the case with premium juices. Certainly not with the Absolute Virgin line of Virgin Vapor, as their fruit flavors taste scarily close to the real thing.

Some juices may require steeping before their flavors really shine, which basically amounts to taking the cap off to let the juice air in a dark place for a few days or longer. This can improve the flavor of some liquids dramatically, especially tobacco blends. Just test a drop of the juice regularly to see if the flavor has improved enough to your liking, and don't forget to shake it well.

    Good luck!

Edit: I almost forgot. Most premium e-juice vendors offer sampler packs, it's a great way to discover what you're into without breaking the bank.

With the amount you smoke, I'd go with 18mg/ml for the nicotine. Are there other B & M shops in your area? Some of them have a tasting area where you can try their flavors. Or as Daleron said order some sample packs. MT Baker and EC Blends have a wide selection. Get your required posts in and then go to the suppliers forum there you will find tons of suppliers. I found right away that I did better without tobacco flavored e juice. It all depends on your tastes. Here's a link to the suppliers forum.

I was in the same boat as you for awhile looking for a tobacco flavor that I really liked. Someone on ECF suggested Nicoticket's H1N1. I ordered a small bottle and immediately fell in love. It's not the cheapest around, but compared to what I was spending on cigarettes it was a bargain.
You might check out their ECF suppliers forum "Nicoticket", but be warned they are a little fanatical.:)

I agree its a HUGE following. But its well worth it, and with it all that said its going to come down to your personal flavor.

I agree with everyone. Try samples. Look at the coupons at the top. It is hard to find a good tobacco flavor. I switched out. I go between RY4 and cheesecake. I just order from vape mall. They have a blueberry tobacco and another tobacco on clearance for $9.99 for 120oz. It might be worth a try. I ordered the blueberry and well pizza. Now they may not be great but I have spent more and hated it.

With the amount of analogs I would think 18mg on the nicotine maybe 24mg which in my area they dont recommend but I read of people using it all the time. Your not going to find juice that tastes like your analogs sorry I know its just wrong but its true lol. If you have a vape shop that allows juices sampling you could sample so various flavors. PG/VG is personal preference and even at that it depends on the personal vapor your using. I use 80/20 in my aerotank, Tried it in my fogger v4 and it about killed me it was so strong. I started with 50/50 and adjusted til I got a good throat hit.

I smoked for quite a while, considering my age, and when I was waiting in line to buy my first ego kit I must of heard "I want one that tastes like a cigarette" 6 times before it was my turn. I decided to step away from that and went for anything BUT tobacco flavours. After a few months of trying flavours (around 40+) I tried a few tobacco flavours. I discovered, like so many other converts, I never wanted a "cigarette" taste, just the sensation. Don't get me wrong, some tobacco flavours are great, but taste nothing like a cigarette, thankfully. My daily rotation of flavours go from fruit, to candy, bakery, drinks, and tobacco. I fell off the wagon a few days ago and had a smoke from a buddy, two puffs and I chucked it out. Definitely did not miss that taste or smell. All my first liquids were 50/50 mixed, only recently have I been ordering online and trying 60/40, 70/30, max VG, and I can't tell a difference honestly. I also jumped into mechanical mods after a month on my spinner, much better vape, including flavour and vapor. RY4 is a popular tobacco flavour you might want to try, but I found the closest thing to a cigarette is dripping straight menthol on to a rda, it's fairly intense at first, but oh so cooling.

I initially only wanted to vape tobacco flavors, but after trying them all (and I mean all), none ever really got it done and tasted like the real thing. I eventually went out on a limb and bought a fruity flavor (Space Jam: Andromeda) and a french bread flavor (Reign Drops: Festival) and fell in love. Not a cigarette since. (I like parenthesis)

Sorry to re-beat an old horse here, but it's true that no tobacco e-liquid really captures the flavour of true tobacco. I guess it's because you can't liquidise the taste of actively combusting leaves

That said, while I haven't tried a massive range, I do have some of the Real Tobacco Lite from JACVapour which is pretty nice and has a quite authentic taste to it. The standard 'Real Tobacco' isn't as deep in flavour to me; for whatever reason, the Lite version has a lot more pronounced notes of woodiness, smokiness and nuttiness that make for a really nice tobacco vape :)

Good luck finding a juice that suits you! :toast:

I like to go to local vape shops and try out their sample flavors. When I bought my Dad his setup I got him a juice called American Red Lite that tastes just like the nasty reds he loved so much, he won't vape anything else and I always have him sample my new finds. My gf inherited my ego starter and I took her to my favorite vape shop to find something. She ended up getting a juice called Wyatt Earp which she swears take just like Camel Ultra Lights (I vaguely see the resemblance personally.) She also picked up some ry4 which is the first tobacco flavor I have ever tried and actually liked, tastes nothing like analogs but I love the flavor. Its become my new fave. Lately I've just been running around trying everyone's ry4, they're all slightly different. The juice that actually got me to quit analogs was called Stripes made by NicQuid. I just asked the guy at my local vape what his ex-menthol smokers liked the most and it turned out to be a winner. Funny enough I don't even vape it anymore because it comes pre-mixed and I've found that i don't tolerate 50/50 very well.

Thanks all. I got an order for Aspire ET-S BDC's from Mt Baker and they threw in a bottle of juice. Extremely fast, IMO. So I just put in an order again with them. Hope I like their juice. I got 24mg 50/50 Butterscotch, Cinnamon Roll, Orance Dream Bar, and Cotton Candy. Heres to hoping this non tobacco flavors help me quit!

    Have a good holiday all!!

Thats what worries me too. Im not rich, which is why when I found this site I was happy. I think of myself as average in the taste department. So, ill go with the flow. Checked some reviews. If I find I dont exactly have the same tastes as others, well, im screwed then. Crossing my fingers itll work out. Besides, some of these vendors are less than half on price for juice compared to a local vape shop. Even with shipping and wait time, I can afford to check a couple places out. I have a couple bucks left, so I might hit up Killer Juice for a bottle or two.

Yeah i ve gone thru probaly $100 worth of juice orders in the last month.. And out f all of that i have found 3 thats right 3 juices that i like.. Try ruthless juice - they have really tasty flavors .. So far the most consistent and tasty juice... I received some mbv yesterday still havent tried them.. Also seattle vapors sent me some decent juice....
