Hello! Im new to the e-cig world and wanted to be pointed into the best direction.

Basically im looking for a great solid working ecig! Im willing to spend about $100 bucks on everything together. I was thinking about getting the inferno tank kit from volcano e cigs. I like what they have set up as far as flavors and nicotine levels. My friend recommended this to me and I even tried it out. It was pretty cool. I really want something with a nice vapor production as well. My friend had a tank on his ecig and it looks like it is pretty convenient for adding ejuice to.

I just read an article by a newbie saying that you should just go all out. So I figured I would toss $100 bucks at this deal. Any recommendations would be great, thanks everyone!

Solid unit, but... are you ready to try a VV mod? Short learning curve, I had it figured out within minutes after vaping on a mini Greensmoke for only 3 weeks. Skipped all the intermediate mods and went VV right away. Didn't regret it! I'm using the volcanoegics Lavatube. $99 will get you a starter kit with battery, atty, charger,... add in another $10 and you can get a tank, too. I love my LT!

Haven't managed to do that yet and I'm constantly playing with the voltage settings... LOL! I love it, I don't think I'd like another fixed voltage mod...... I am having WAY too much fun with my LT, even ordered a second one as backup when the LCD went out on my primary just so I don't have to use anything else while mine is in the "tube hospital".... :) (Volcano has a 1 year warranty on the tube so they'll replace it). Whatever you decide, you'll wanna order at 1 or 2 addtl. batteries so you can vape while one is charging!

Awesome! Now you have me leaning towards that. Now, correct me if im wrong, but are attys the heating element or are they for flavor holding and do you have to replace them all thetime. Im kinda confused between the atomizer and cartomizer

Atomizer: you use it to drip juice, 2-4 drops at a time (not my thing, I like the tanks that hold anywhere from 3-6 ml of juice). Cartomizer: Small reservoir, usually with polyfil in it, that holds anywhere from 0.8 to 1.5 ml of juice depending on the size..... My favorite are the tanks, I only have to fill them once a day (vaping anywhere from 3-5 ml as a chain-vaper....). Cartomizers and atomizers CAN last up to maybe a month, or they may go belly up within a day, it's impossible to tell, so you always want to have a few as backup. On occasion, you may get one that's dead on arrival, most companies will replace them though. Yep, LT is the way to go unless you want to spend $250 on a Provari Starter Kit.... Too pricey for me, Lavatube is doing the job just fine! :)

As I mentioned to you earlier, I am not sure I agree with "go all out" when you first start buying things. The majority of people new to vaping find that what they started with, doesn't really fit their needs and they try something different. There is nothing wrong with that, and honestly trial and error is really the best way to go, but that said it makes sense not to spend a bundle on supplies and hardware when you don't really know what you like yet.

Ease into it. I am not familiar with the inferno tank. I started on a simple Joye Ego set up and two years later still using it. I am probably in the minority though as most will upgrade over that, but I only vape part time so it works great. It is a really good starter set up, to fiddle with and figure out what you like, and don't like.

Good luck and welcome to vaping!

Thank you so much! Okay so you recommend a lt with a tank? So I just buy the lt starter and a tank. Where should I guy a tank from. I didnt see any on the volcano site.

Yeah, volcano sells the tube tanks. Or, you can check out Phiniac.com. those are pyrex tanks that won't crack with any juice. The store is closed this week for medical reasons, though. More pricey but VERY pretty! I have 3 of the sandblasted tanks..... Up to you and how much you can/want to spend on a tank. Yes, I'd recommend a tank with a few extra tank cartomizers (can also get from Volcano or millions of other vendors out there......) unless you want to spend half your day filling and refilling cartos... I'm lazy so I love the tanks. Fill up in the AM, top off next morning, out the door, off to work. no worries about running out of juice in the middle of a stressful workday! :)

With a $100 budget, you can't get much closer to going all out than a Lavatube. It's newbie friendly enough to keep you from messing anything up. Howerver, make sure you get the Version 1.5 Lavatube. I don't know if Volcano is selling the new 1.5's but they are a vast improvement over the originals. Crystalclearvaping has them for $75 shipped, so hopefully Volcano isn't try int to get that much for the older Version 1s that a lot of vendors still have in their stock. If you'd like to stay closer to your original budget and still have a few bucks left for juice and cartomizers, you might want to check out somewhere other than Volcano. They're a good vendor, but the Lavatube is available almost anywhere and Volcano isn't exactly known for their low prices.

The good thing about the Lavatube is that you can pretty much stick to standard resistance cartomizers and attys. There's really no need to get low resistance stuff, although it will work.

EDIT:.... I just checked Vocano's site. They're out of stock, but that's good. They are trying to get $99 for the Version 1 of the Lavatube. Don't bite on that. You can get the version 1 kits for half the price all over the place. I have a version 1 and it's o.k., but it has a lot of flaws that the new version has fixed. Shame on Volcano for still trying to sell the old version for what was already the highest price on the net.

Wow thanks dude!!! Now im stuck between that and the inferno tank! lol Opinions?

Let me clue you into something about Volcano you might not know. Volcano is a huge company. They have a fancy website and mall stores. They do enough volume that they can go to manufacturers and have stuff "private labeled" with their own name on it. That Tube tank you're looking at is a Smoketech DC tank. It's available for $9-15 at just about every ecig website in existence, except it won't have Volcano's printing on it. It's an o.k. tank, for $10. It's not that great of a tank. There are FAR better tanks out there.

For the money you save getting the $75 Lavatube, you can buy a good MAP tank, or J-Tank or a Mom & Pops tank. All of these are far better than the Smoketech DC tank. Volcano has decent products and good service. But besides their cool logo, all of their stuff is available elsewhere for less money.

The same site with the new Lavatubes has the Smoketech tanks. Here they are with even more color options.

It's the exact same tank.

If you're going to go with the lava tube, CCV's definitely the place to go. He's got great customer service and free shipping.
If you're going the vv route here's a link to a video by Steeljan that explains things quite well:

Low Res, High Volts, 3.7V, 5V, VV? Wtf?!! - YouTube

Earlier today, I read a statement that I think sums it up best:

To get more power, either increase the voltage or decrease the ohms.

For me, I went with a fixed voltage (the E-power kit from CCV firing at 3.7v) and am playing with cartos of varying ohms. But whatever works for you.
