I am new to this whole forum thing but I'm kind of desperate and irritated with no one knowing what I should do.

I have been vaping for at least a month now and I haven't had a problem until this past week and its very irritating. I started vaping with 12mg which was perfect, I had no problems with coughing or throat burning, perfect throat hit and nicotine level for me.
We'll... for the past two weeks I have been having the worst throat burn and loss of taste. I recently switched to the Aspire EGO BDC Cartomizer and I love it compared to whatever I had before.
I've went to multiple people about this and they suggested dehydration, messing with my batteries levels, and/or possibly going down on the mg's. Well I've tried all of the above, going to 6mg helped but now the burning is back and no one has an answer and its irritating.
What doesn't make sense to me is the smoke place I goto has a smoke bar all of their liquids are 12mg.... no problem at all my throat doesn't burn or anything. Its sad because I've been going there to smoke since I apparently can't smoke mine with out burning.
I might add that I get little to no taste when I Vape, I get plenty of clouds that smell like what I have. Its just upsetting that my favorite flavors I now hate because of the burn which is everything is seems like.

I have recently switched to the aspire EGO BDC cartomizer.
I used to vape 12mg but now I'm 6mg.
I no longer smoke cigarettes.
I drink water while I vape because of this problem which is annoying because it doesn't help.
Anyways, I came here in hopes to find out what is going on.

Thank you for taking the time to ready this, suggestions on what I should do would be much appreciated.

Sometimes it's just vapor tongue. Suddenly, can't taste anything, or everything tastes bad. Change juices frequently during the day, hydrate, oral cleanse frequently, smell some fresh ground coffee (will reset the palate).

Also, could be equipment, but doesn't sound like it from your description.

Smoking can inhibit problems with teeth and gums, that become noticeable with vaping (and not smoking). This happened to me. Corrected professionally.

Ok, all I can think of. Others will surely have additional advice. Good luck!

Well, I'll just add that I have both several cartomizers and a couple Mini Protank 2 tanks. I have noticed that when I use the cartomizers, I get sort of a raw mouth/throat feeling that doesn't seem to occur with the tanks. I chalked it up to the cartomizers creating a hotter vapor than the tanks--at least it seems that way to me. So, you might consider picking up a tank with a bottom coil & wick. I don't know anything about the Aspire cartos, sorry. Just some thoughts, anyways.

Might consider changing your liquid blend - what's the ratio of PG/VG that you're currently vaping ?

Oh yeah, this reminds me. I have also noticed that some flavors are just more irritating and make me caugh more than others. So, maybe consider a less acidic liquid, perhaps.

I might have to try out a tank. the old piece I had were wicks and I had no problems so it could be the coils.

Have you tried taking your Aspire to the and using one of their juices. You can also buy one of their cheap cartomizers and fill it with one of the juices you vape in the store. Try one of there batteries with your aspire. I am trying to say that if what you are vaping in the store works for you go there and try things till you figure it out.

Are you using just one set up? Are you chain vaping? You need to allow time for the ejucie to wick properly. If you are getting harsh burning when you take a draw from the ecig then the juice is not getting to the coils fast enough.
Also you should be drinking more liquids than you did before you started vaping, not just when you are vaping.
The suggestion for getting glycerin is a good one to clean your coils. I would thin it first with some distilled water before putting in your tank as the glycerin is very thick. If you have a small bottle put some glycerin in it. ratio is about 2-3 drops of distilled water to a 10 ml bottle, give or take.
If you can, I would also use 2 setups at a time, giving one time to cool a little and also because it is always a good idea to have backups.
Maybe take some salted warm water and rinse or gargle with it. I would not use anything harsh that has alcohol in it, that would irritate it further.

:)

I'm going to in tomorrow and try to straighten things out. Its just annoying because non of them knew how to help, that's why I came here and I'm so happy people are helping me out. I'm going to figure out what they use because those work. I just don't think the aspire BDC agrees with me to be honest.

I don't really chain Vape. I tend to take a few puffs here and there recently with the burning. I would like to invest in a second setup once I can figure this out. I will deffinatly try the glycerin.
