Hi there, new to this forum and wanting to learn the tricks and approaches to re-coiling atomizers.
I own a 6 Volt ThermoVape and made my first atomizer a few days ago. Currently using the AltraMax RES with HV AVA atomizer. I was never really satisfied with the way the AVA ceramic wicking worked with the bottom feed RES system. So I decide to try the DIY approach. Made a 3.8 ohm atty with 32 AWG Kanthal resistive wire. At first tasted like crap but within 3 hours it tastes great. I used just plain 100% pure cotton from the tip of a swab. Wrapped cotton around outside of coil so if I do burn it I can just replace with tweezers. I used carbonized SSM for the centre of coil.
Day 3 now and all still great. Anyone know of good threads along this vein?
Working on getting through my newbie status so I can post in the few I have found so far.
Thanks in advance,:)

Welcome to the board. Would love to know what you think about the ThermoVape. I've been thinking about purchasing one. PM me about it though because discussion about it on this forum isn't allowed.

I was following this thread for a while till I learned how to rewick my clearomizers and I was good from there.

The more recent posts are from some hardcore mod guys who are right up your alley making their own atties and so on...

Yes, I've seen that post as a couple others. Looks like this will be some fun.
Also looking for a place that sells the small little internal bits and pieces.
I found the empty tubes and base pieces but no real selection.
Thanks,
