Just got in my sample kit from wordup yesterday and it did not come with any infomation on set up or use. Do I have to charge the battery first? do I need to put any of the juice in one of the atomizers? or whatever they are called. I am sure it is simple as anything but even computers were confusing until we learned which buttons did what? I got the sample kit 520 mega compact sample kit and all it is good for right now is a paperweight until I figure out how to use it???????

The longest piece is your battery. The next piece to go on is the atomizer-it has a large opening at one end and threads on the opposite end. Then you have carts that have a white filler in them-remove the top silicone cover from the cartridge and pop it onto the open end of your atomizer.

Watch the video below my signature(the 510 tutorial) to give you an idea of what to do visually. It is not on your specific model, but it will help.

Is it this one? Wordupecig 520 Mega Compact kit is so then I need to reword for you.

If you have this set then you have cartomizers- no reason to blow them out. The cartomizer holds your liquid. and will screw in to the battery. Charge the battery first.

Ok,thanks just out of curiosity, how long does it charge? I have read on this forum to charge for eight hours and have also read on the same thread that they will explode if charged that long? I have the usb charger and it flashes a red/green light but neither one stays on so can I assume that means it is charging until the green comes on and stays on?

Yes-it is charging. There are many differing opinions on how long to charge-most say when green-you are good to go.
I have never heard of any exploding-a lot of folks leave them on over night to charge. The first charge may be a bit longer though. Just wait it out-it'll charge. Exciting-huh?

They look to be cartomizers, possibly ce2's. I am not sure. I hope someone will soon get in here that can give you a better explanation on refilling those.
Google and youtube will be your friend with tis. Put in specifically the type of cartomizer and see if anything that pops up matches your cartomizer.

I know your pain. I am searching like crazy - looking for you. This seems to be a bit new for me too. I have yet to see this model.
It looks to be a cep though and there are ids like crazy on those. You will have to watch a few and pop off the top of your cartomizer and see if it looks like the one in the videos.
Also, e-mail wordup, I am sure they will help you out explaining how to refill-you may need the refill syringe/tool. Give them your phone number (in an e-mail) and maybe they'll call you.

I had no idea this could all be so confusing? Just wanting to try to cut down or quit smoking. Now I am trying to find out the difference between a cartomizer and an atomizer. Seems the ones I have need to be refilled with a syringe but there was no mention of that on the order site. I would think companies that sell these things would not make it so hard to use.????

Jeff from wordup-ecig called me and walked me through the process. Looks like I had already managed to ruin one cartomizer re it was empty and I thought it was one of the pre filled ones. Onward.

I'm so sorry I wasn't here to help you. My computer is down and my netbook can't handle even answering a post. I'm at my daughter's house right now if you ever have any questions email me at lisa@wordupecig.com I can get to that and I check it often. You can charge until it is finished it won't blow up. I have the 520 and everything is exactly the same as the 510 except for the longer battery life. The carts you just fill with juice, I haven't used the CE2 so I can't be much help there. The 520 is a solid unit and I have one and it is in heavy rotation daily. Any time you need anything I'm available at my email. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Again I am sorry I've been AWOL but that will be fixed soon.

Not sure how much help I was, but I did give it one heck of a shot-LOL. I have had so many members help me and I try to help others when I can and sometimes in the process I learn something new. oldfatguy will be the one soon to be helping others in their quest on how to get the 520 up and going and refilling and then he'll be paying it forward with his help of a new member.

Well, for one thing, I'm amazed at a kit with only one battery. If it's a "sampler" thing, I suppose that makes sense, but it's nice to have a spare to use while the other is charging. If you decide you like using e-cigs, you'll want at least a couple more batteries.

Now, visit the 510 forum. The 520 is exactly the same as a 510, except it's just a bit longer. You'll find lots of useful stuff on the 510 forum, which is all applicable to the 520, because there's no difference, except in the size of battery, and I suppose the capacity of the juice reservoir, depending on what 510 stuff you're comparing to. The 520 atomizer (sometimes called 510 Mega) is a bit longer, to accomodate the longer 520 cartridge, but since you have cartomizers (combined cartridge and atomizer), that doesn't apply to you.

There's a lot of info on the forum about the CE2 cartomizer. I don't like it myself, because of needing to use the 5ml Filler Needle to fill it. But I have also dripped into mine, and it works. Not sure how many drops you can drip and have it still work, but not flood or leak, but I've done 4 at once.

The 8-hour charge thing is just holdover language from the days of NiCd and MiMh batteries. Ignore it. Charge until the light goes green. Yes, in fact, there is some hazard with some lithium ion batteries. The likelihood that you'll encounter problems with your 520 battery assembly and the USB charger is extremely remote.

As you've discovered, Jeffrey is a great guy. I highly recommend Wordup.
