new and renewed mini 14500s

my wife stole my 3 (or is it 4?) year old mini and I was sad... Then I saw this thread and I was happy! Then sad again cause I have to wait... So are we looking at about a month to wait? I dunno if i can deal with having to use a tank on a manual... I miss my Pacificer... er mini.
Now dont throw anything at me, but can we limit the purchases to one per customer at first so we can all partake of the mini goodness? I might have to chuck this stupid manual across the room...

Limits? I don't think robs ever done a limit in the past. Just make more rob! Haha

Over in the Trippy Tip thread, we used to have about 200 folks vie for maybe 30 little glass masterpieces and all of us would hit the server instantaneously. If at the end of the sale you got completely skunked then this would invoke the Trippy-customized Angry German Kid meme. Perhaps the REO thread needs a similar mascot. I know when I bought my first REO it was a total feeding frenzy and I imagive the upcoming Mech. Woodvil sale will be no different. Maybe we need a meme of our own. The Angry Porky Kid or something similar. Brew

Question...does the regular mini door (like currently being sold on reosmods) work on the mini 1.0? I just bought one from the classies and have extra mini doors and need to know if they work together. Thanks.
Sorry, the mini 14500 is narrower a 2.1 and only have 1 magnet. These new 14500s will have two magnets but it's still narrower.
Thanks for the quick response. Darn...I guess the only way to find a different door is through the classies. Not likely to happen. Bummed.

I have two 14500 minis, one with a raw aluminum door, and one with a red anodized door. Depending on what color door you have, I would consider trading one if you're interested.
If 73neb's swap doesn't work, I was going to suggest the Reo swap thread. You might get some bites.

Rob is saying that these new ones are going to have two magnets instead of one like the older models. The door can be slightly kinked so that you can actually do without a magnet, so it still might be a solution. But I wouldn't pass up any offers for trades of the OG mini doors, either.

Still - it's a fairly minor issue (to me anyway) if I wanted a different door.go to bed, Jan
